Hello everyone dear #Hive friends.... Once again I am pleased to share with you more of my stories stolen from the streets and roads in my hometown.... And as always, this post is my #monomad challenge entry for today...

Hola a todos, queridos amigos #Hive... Nuevamente me complazco en compartir con ustedes más de mis historias robadas en las calles y caminos en mi pueblo... Y como siempre, esta publicación es mi entrada el reto #monomad de hoy...

"Post Office Corner".... In those two huge doors of that old house, worked (or at least tried to work, because they were quite inefficient) until a few years ago the local office of "IPOSTEL" (The national post office in Venezuela)... Over the years this name was engraved in the collective memory, to the point that today, even without the office being there, everyone refers to this corner as "The Ipostel coener" or "The Post Office Corner"...

"La esquina del correo"... En esas dos enormes puertas de esa casona antigua, funcionaba (o por lo menos intentaba funcionar, pues eran bastante ineficientes) hasta hace pocos años la oficina local de "IPOSTEL" (La empresa nacional de correos en Venezuela)... Con el paso de los años es nombre quedó grabado en la memoria colectiva, hasta el punto en el que hoy, aún sin estar allí la oficina, todo el mundo se refiera a esa equina así: "La esquina de Ipostel" o "La esquina del correo"...

"Gustavo the turkey"...My friend Gustavo, he was the local basketball star when I was in high school.... We would all go to watch "Turkey" play basketball wherever he was!.... We started calling him "Turkey" because of the way he laughed, whose similarity to the song of these birds was remarkable.... As time went by, injuries, age and his job, took Gustavo away from the basketball courts, but today he still laughs exactly like "A Turkey"...

"Gustavo el pavo"...Mi amigo Gustavo, era la estrella local de baloncesto cuando yo estaba en la secundaria... ¡Todos íbamos a ver a "El Pavo" jugar baloncesto en donde fuese que estuviera!... Comenzamos a llamarlo "Pavo" por la forma de reír, cuya similitud con el canto de estas aves era notable... Con el tiempo, las lesiones, la edad y su trabajo, alejaron a Gustavo de las canchas de basketball, pero hoy en día sigue riendo exactamente como "Un Pavo"...

"Sunbathing, and smoking".... One of my neighbors (whose name I really don't remember) has been forbidden to smoke for years due to medical recommendations... But he only stopped doing it during the afternoons!... During the mornings he sunbathes and smokes in the street!... And he says that "smoked together with morning sunlight" the cigarette does no harm!... Quite a typical story of neighborhoods here!... 😂

"Tomando el sol, y fumando"... Uno de mis vecinos (cuyo nombre realmente no recuerdo) tiene prohibido fumar desde hace años por recomendaciones médicas... Pero ¡Solo dejó de hacerlo durante las tardes!... ¡Durante las mañanas toma el sol y fuma en la calle!... ¡Y dice que "fumado junto con luz solar mañanera" el cigarrillo no hace daño!... ¡Toda una historia típica de vecindarios aquí!... 😂

"The street, always an image".... Eduardo (AKA: Half Kilogram) who appears with his wheelbarrow in the photo, you have already seen him before in other of my posts for sure... The neighbor knocking on the window of her daughter's house to wake her up... Geez, these streets of mine are always something happening "always an image"...

"La calle, siempre una imagen"... A Eduardo (Mejor conocido como: Medio Kilo) quien aparece con su carretilla en la foto ya le han visto antes... La vecina golpeando la ventana de la casa de su hija para que esta se despierte... Caray, estas calles mías son siempre algo ocurriendo "siempre un imagen"...

"My morning vision"... I have looked at this street thousands and thousands of times in my life.... But whenever I can I take a picture of it, because it always looks different... When it's not the light, it's the people, but then the fog or maybe a vehicle... It's a highly photo-producing scene!.... And that makes me think that one of the wonderful things about being in #Hive, is that I can share this daily image with many, and even write a few lines reflecting on why I do it...

"Mi visión matutina"... He mirado esta calle miles y miles de veces en mi vida... Pero siempre que puedo le hago una fotografía, pues siempre suele lucir distinta... Cuando no es la luz, es la gente, sino entonces la niebla o quizás algún vehículo... ¡Es una escena altamente productora de fotos!... Y eso me hace pensar que una de las cosas maravillosas de estar en #Hive, es que puedo compartir esta imagen cotidiana con muchos, e incluso escribir algunas lineas reflexionando porqué lo hago...

"Edgar, the guitarist".... Edgar is an excellent artist and a person of deep kindness and high morals, he is someone from whom we all have something to learn in the village... He is a musician with masterful skills, especially with his guitar... 🎸📷

"Edgar, el guitarrista"... Edgar es un artista excelente y una persona de profunda bondad y excelsa moral, él es alguien de quien todos tenemos algo que aprender en el pueblo... Es un músico con habilidades magistrales, en especial con su guitarra... 🎸📷

Finding Edgar in the streets of the town, is to be very lucky... And finding him playing his guitar and singing, is almost a miracle!... Well, he is a very discreet person and I rarely see him in the streets. .. So I took the opportunity to take a couple of pictures!...🎸📷

Encontrar a Edgar en las calles del pueblo, es tener mucha suerte... ¡Y encontrarlo tocando su guitarra y cantando, es casi un milagro!... Pues se trata de una persona muy discreta y rara vez le veo en las calles... ¡Así que he aprovechado para hacerle un par de fotografías!... 🎸📷

"Lina and Esteban"... You may have seen this pair of brothers in other of my posts... Their last name is "Tarazona" and they were born and grew up in the mountains, but over the years they ended up living in the town... Lina makes soups and other things to sell and Esteban raises cattle and grows vegetables... They are very close brothers and Esteban helps Lina a lot with her business, he even brings firewood and other necessary supplies... But the day When I took this photo, they told me about another of their brothers called "Eduardo"... Lina says "Eduardo is my lazy brother, he only appears when the soup is almost ready"... ha ha ha... 🍲😂

"Lina y Esteban"... A este par de hermanos quizás le hayan visto en otros de mis post... Son de apellido "Tarazona" y nacieron y crecieron en las montañas, pero con el paso de los años terminaron viviendo en el pueblo... Lina hace sopas y otras cosas para vender y Esteban cría ganado y siembra hortalizas... Son hermanos muy unidos y Esteban ayuda mucho a Lina con su negocio, incluso le lleva leña y otros insumos necesarios... Pero el día que les hice esta foto me contaron de otro de sus hermanos llamado "Eduardo"... Lina dice "Eduardo es mi hermano flojo, solo aparece cuando la sopa está casi lista"... ha ha ha...🍲😂

"And this is Eduardo"... Haaa haaa haaa 😂... Indeed, Eduardo was "guarding the soup"... Lina told me: "Go to where the soup is, there is Eduardo waiting to take his bowl." .. Take a picture of that scoundrel"... Haaaaa haaaa haaa 😂... Brothers!... But, anyway, I think Eduardo has one of the best "happy faces" I've seen in years!

Lina me dijo: "Anda para donde está la sopa, allí está Eduardo esperando para tomar su tazón"... ¡Hazle una foto a ese sinvergüenza"... Haaaaa haaaa haaa 😂... ¡Hermanos!... Pero, sea como sea, ¡Me parece que Eduardo tiene uno de los mejores "rostros felices" que he visto en años.!
