I know my streets and they know me, so we can't hide from each other and that's why I usually "steal stories" " almost daily in them... As if they were an inexhaustible source of images, each one with an unpredictable human and sentimental background...

¡Hola a todos mis queridos amigos de #hive!... Mis calles cotienen miles de fotografias... Yo conozco mis calles y ellas me conocen a mí, entocnes no podemos ocultarnos uno del otro y es por eso que suelo "robar historias" casi a diario en ellas... Como si fueran una fuente inagotable de imagenes, cada una con un trasnfondo humano y sentimental impredecible...

"Donovan"... This charming and eloquent little boy is my godson "Donovan"... I have seen him through the window of his mother's car while she was driving him to kindergarten in the morning... Then, seeing me, He told me: "Godfather, take a picture of me"... He is a very photogenic and sweet baby!... It is a delight to take pictures of him...

"Donovan"... Este pequeñín encantador y elocuente es mi ahijado "Donovan"... Lo he visto a través de la ventana del auto de su madre mintras esta le llevaba al kinder en la mañana... Entonces, al verme, me ha dicho: "Padrino hazme una foto"... ¡Es un pequeñín muy fotogénico y dulce!... Es un encanto hacerle fotos...

"Children in the streets"... And speaking about childhood... Children are something everyday in the streets of my town, they bring eloquence and joy to many street corners... Sometimes it is difficult to take a photo of them because they tend to move quickly, but it's always a rewarding thing to do.

"Niños en las calles"... Y hablando acerca de infancia... Los niños son algo cotidiano en las calles de mi pueblo, ellos brindan elocuencia y alegría a muchos rincones callejeros... A veces es difícil hacerles una foto pues suelen moverse rápidamente, pero siempre es algo gratificante de llevar a cabo.

Sometimes they don't move so fast, but simply "are there", silent, defenseless and profoundly human... Looking at them like this, I tend to understand how photography makes me grow as a person...

A veces no se mueven tan rápido, sino que simplemente "están allí", silentes, indefensos y profundamente humanos... Mirándolos así, suelo comprender como la fotografía me hace crecer como persona...

Other times I look at them doing adult work and then my heart shrinks and I tend to question some things about the society in which we live... But life is not usually the same for everyone, it's time to continue and do the best possible...

Otras veces les miro haciendo trabajos de adultos y entonces el corazón se me encoje y tiendo a cuestionar algunas cosas de la sociedad en donde vivimos... Pero la vida no suele ser igual para todos, toca continuar y hacer lo mejor posible...

"Let's paint the walls, Christmas is coming"... From one street to another or from one day to the next, the streets usually change their character and speak differently and without prior notice...

"Pintemos las paredes, se acerca la navidad"... De una calle a otra o de un día al otro, las calles suelen cambiar de carácter y hablar distinto y sin previo aviso...

This "not so young" woman seems to have as much energy as a teenager... So she herself spends her time painting and patching up the cracks in the walls of her house... I see her do this every year since I was a boy 10 years wandering these streets... The walls of his humble home have always seemed the cleanest in the neighborhood!...

Esta mujer "no tan joven" parece tner tanta energía como un adolescente... Entonces ella misma invierte su tiempo pintando y tapando las grietas en las paredes de su casa... La veo hacer esto cada año desde que yo eran un muchacho de 10 años vagando en estas calles... ¡Las paredes de su humilde vivienda siempre han parecido las más limpias del vecindario!...

A few meters away in the same street, another neighbor grumbles as he pulls some grass (for his rabbits at home) and his improvised little wheelbarrow with freshly collected water bottles is parked in the street... Every little thing that happens in the neighborhood is usually a photo!...

Pocos metros más allá, por la misma calle, otro vecino refunfuña mientras arranca algo de hierba (para sus conejos en casa) y su improvisada carretilla con botellas de agua recién colectada, está aparcada en la calle... ¡Cada pequeña cosa que sucede en el vecindario, suele ser una foto!...

"The streets and the fog"... These streets, this fog... They always seem to combine to give me photos as if they were taken from other times... The morning fogs are a frequent phenomenon during the rainy season, but once these months of the end of the year arrive, the dry season begins and makes the dawns clearer... I will surely miss the fogs until they come back in May.

"Las calles y la niebla"... Estas calles, esta niebla... Parecen siempre conjugarse para regalarme fotos como sacadas de otros tiempos... Las nieblas mañaneras son un fenómeno frecuente durante la temporada de lluvia, pero ya llegados estos meses de fin de año, la temporada seca comienza y hace que los amaneceres sean más despejados... Seguramente yo voy a extrañar las nieblas hasta que vuelvan en Mayo...

"Marcos the runner"... Marcos is a typical character of the streets and roads of our town... In his younger days he was a professional marathon runner and won a few state and national times... I don't know how old Marcos is, but I am 52.... And when I was a boy of 9 or 10 years old, he was already a young marathon runner and I saw him on the roads of the town training very often... So maybe he is close to 70 years old and he is still running daily and competing in the "masters" category!... ¡Wow!

"Marcos el corredor"... Marcos es un personaje tipico de las calles y caminos de nuestro pueblo... En sus tiempos de juventud fue maratonista profesional y ganó unos cuantos tiempos estatales y nacionales... No sé cuantos años tiene Marcos, pero yo tengo 52... Y cuando yo era un chico de 9 o 10 años, él ya eran un joven corredor de maratones y le veía por los caminos del pueblo entrenado con mucha frecuencia.. ¡Así que quizás tenga cerca de 70 años y aun sigue corriendo a diario y compite en categorías "master"!...¡Caray!
