Hello dear #Hive photography lovers friends!... Nature continues to show its best side these days, the seasonal rains have brought back green foliage, colourful flowers, lots of bugs and much more to allow me to spend long hours wandering the country roads taking pictures of it all...

La naturaleza sigue mostrando su mejor cara estos días, las lluvias estacionales han traído consigo de nuevo el verde del follaje, las flores coloridas, un montón de bichos y mucho más para permitirme pasar largas horas deambulando por los caminos rurales haciendo fotos de todo esto...

Twenty years ago I started taking photos of insects and plants in my region and the purpose was to have fun identifying the species I photographed. As you can guess, these were ‘rather academic’ photos and the main objective was to show as many of the characteristics of the species photographed as possible, almost always leaving the aesthetics and drama in those photos... But all this has now changed!.... When I wake up one day and say: I'm going to make macros and close-ups in nature! I always have in mind a lot of abstraction and drama accompanied by unusual shooting angles and a lot of out-of-focus backgrounds... And believe me, it's more fun than it was twenty years ago!... :))Fifteen years ago I started taking photos of insects and plants in my region and the purpose was to have fun identifying the species I was photographing. Veinte años atrás comencé a hacer fotos de insectos y plantas en mi región y el propósito era posteriormente divertirme identificando las especies que fotografiaba. Como podrán suponer, se trataba de fotos "bastante académicas" y cuyo principal objetivo era el mostrar la mayor cantidad de las características de la especie fotografiada, casi siempre dejando a un lado la estética y el drama en aquellas fotos... ¡Pero todo esto ahora ha cambiado!... Cuando me despierto un día y digo: ¡Voy a hacer macros y close-ups en la naturaleza! siempre tengo en mente un montón de abstracció y drama acompañado de ángulos de captura inusuales y un montón de fondos desenfocados... ¡Y créanme, así es más divertido que como lo hacía hace veinte años!... :))

My current taste for this type of more visually attractive photos, also came the decision to leave at home my tripod, my hot shoe flash and even my macro ring flash; so these photos that I share with you today, have been made with handheld camera, using the natural light available and my old 100mm macro lens not stabilized... The most ‘spartan’ thing possible, I dare say!.... :))

Mi gusto actual por este tipo de fotos más visualmente atractivas, también vino la decisión de dejar guardados en casa mi trípode mi flash de zapata e incluso mi flash de anillo para macros; así que estas fotos que comparto con ustedes hoy, han sido realizadas con mi cámara a pulso, valiéndome de la luz natural disponible y mi viejo lente macro no estabilizado de 100mm... ¡Lo más "espartano" posible me atrevo decir!... :))

I make these photos by forcing my old macro lens with something I call ’funny rudeness‘, so I usually walk around the country roads carrying my camera at apertures between f/5 and f/3.5, ISO 500 and ‘’a lot of photographic optimism‘’ as taking pictures of bugs with parameters like these, usually forces me to move slowly, adopt strange postures, hold my breath and even ‘’shoot between heartbeats‘’... Hahaha :)) I must look like someone quite crazy for sure!...

Hago estas fotos forzando mi viejo lente macro con algo que llamo "rudeza divertida", así que suelo pasearme por los caminos rurales llevando mi cámara en aperturas entre f/5 y f/3.5, ISO 500 y "un montón de optimismo fotográfico" pues hacer fotos de bichos con parámetros como estos, por lo general me obliga a moverme lentamente, adoptar posturas extrañas, aguantar mi respiración e incluso "disparar entre latidos de mi corazón"... Hahaha :)) ¡Debo de verme como alguien bastante loco seguramente!...

They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.}
