Hello dear #Hive friends!... This street photography series I took earlier today.... I grabbed my camera, attached my old Tokina 100mm macro lens to it and set out to walk into the nearby hills with the intention of making macros of some insects and wildflowers... But... Once on the street I couldn't resist the temptation to take street photos and, as usual, that's what I did!... So these photos are taken with a 100mm focal length!... That's a bit strange, but just as delightful to do in the streets.... Bugs and flowers will have to wait!.

¡Hola queridos amigos de #Hive!... Esta serie de fotografías callejeras las tomé hoy temprano... Tomé mi cámara, le coloqué mi viejo lente macro 100 mm Tokina y me dispuse a caminar hacia las colinas cercanas con la intención de hacer macros de algunos insectos y flores silvestres... Pero... ¡Una vez estando en la calle no pude resistir las tentación de hacer fotos callejera y, como siempre, eso fue lo que hice!... ¡Entonces estas fotos son hechas con una distancia focal de 100 mm!... Eso es un poco extraño, pero igual de delicioso de hacer en las calles... ¡Insectos y flores tendrán que esperar!.

It seems to me that what "seduced" me about the streets today were the colors.... We are starting April and during some mornings it is feasible to have slightly cloudy skies but without fog. So the colors tend to have some similarities with watercolors and pastels although a bit more solid and vivid... It is a charming effect, especially when combined with the deteriorated structures and the typical diversity of elements wich can be seen in the streets.

Me parece que lo que me "sedujo" de las calles hoy fueron los colores... Estamos comenzando Abril y durante algunas mañanas es factible tener cielos ligeramente nublados pero sin que tengamos niebla. Entonces los colores suelen tener cierta semejanzas con acuarelas y pasteles aunque algo más sólidos y vivos... Es un efecto encantador, en especial cuando se combina con las estructuras deterioradas y la diversidad típica de elementos que se pueden observar en las calles.

These street photographs, as usual in my publications, are taken in Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela), the town where I have always lived... It is actually a town severely impacted by decades of economic crises and the massive exodus of its young population... So, much of that can be seen in the deterioration of its streets and houses. Which perhaps (although not really a good thing) provides that certain "dramatic air" that places in decline have; which complements quite well the reflective intention of this kind of photos I usually take.

Estas fotografías callejeras, como es usual en mis publicaciones, son tomadas en Montalbán (Carabobo, Venezuela), el pueblo en donde vivo desde siempre... En realidad se trata de un pueblo impactado de manera severa por décadas de crisis económicas y el éxodo masivo de su población joven... Entonces, mucho de eso se puede observar en el deterioro de sus calles y casas. Cosa la cual quizás (a pesar de no ser algo realmente bueno) provee ese cierto "aire dramático" que tienen los lugares en declive; lo cual complementa bastante bien la intención reflexiva de este tipo de fotos que suelo hacer.

^{Small technical note: All the photos are captured using my NIKON D7000 camera, the captures are made in RAW format and then these files are processed using Adobe Camera Raw until achieving almost all the desired adjustments and appearance and then exported as JPG... Some secondary changes such as depth, straightening, minimal cropping and adding watermarks were made using PhotoScape 3.6.1.}
