Hello #ive friends!... "From the road" is a photographic series whose images I usually capture from the rural roads through which I usually walk during the mornings...

¡Hola amigos de #Hive!... "Desde el camino" es una serie fotográfica cuyas imágenes suelo capturar desde las carreteras rurales a través de las cuales suelo caminar durante las mañanas...

Like any environment where the human, the rural and the natural are mixed, every day there is something new to look at and therefore something new to photograph... It is as if the images "mutate" very frequently... Everything has to see with the time of day, the weather and even with the time of the year in which you pass by.

Como todo entorno en donde lo humano, lo rural y lo natural se mezclan, cada dia hay algo nuevo que mirar y por ende algo nuevo que fotografiar... Es como si las imágenes "mutasen" con mucha frecuencia... Todo tiene que ver con la hora del día, el clima e incluso con la época del año en la que pase por allí.

I like, when I take these types of photographs, to use the vertical format for the captures and to compose the photo from the camera itself... There is something challenging in using the vertical format in this type of visual environments, because if you use the horizontal format later you can usually crop and compose at the time of editing... However, the use of vertical makes you decide from the moment of capture what will be photographed and you need to be more precise.

Me gusta, cuando hago este tipo de fotos, usar el formato vertical para las capturas y componer la foto desde la cámara misma... Hay algo desafiante en usar el formato vertical en este tipo de entornos visuales, porque si usas el formato horizoantal después sueles poder recortar y componer al momento de la edición... Sin embargo, el uso del vertical te hace decidir desde el momento de la captura lo que será fotografiado y necesitas ser más preciso.

I also like to use extensive resources such as vignettes and wide variations of levels to generate eloquent contrasts and achieve layers of luminosity that provide depth to the image... I usually start from the RAW's of the camera and do almost everything with Adobe Camera Raw, even the desaturation of the image, so I end up with an already black and white JPG and leave the rest of the editing to minor details.

También me gusta usar ampliamente recursos como viñetas y variaciones de niveles amplias para generar contrastes elocuentes y logar capas de luminosidad que provean profundidad a la imagen... Suelo partir de los RAW's de la cámara y hacer casi todo con Adobe Camera Raw, incluso la desaturación de la imagen, así que termino con un JPG ya en blanco y negro y dejo el resto de la edición para detalles menores.

However, I don't have a specific method for editing these photos (not at all in my life, I think) so I tend to treat each image according to its own character, which is something that makes the time invested in editing fun and also provide some "intimacy" with the photo... Because each photo has its own way of behaving when adjusted and each one needs something different to start saying what we want them to say...

Sin embargo, no tengo un método específico para editar estas fotos (ni para nada en mi vida, me parece) así que suelo tratar cada imagen según su propio carácter, eso es algo que hace que el tiempo invertido en la edición sea divertido y además brinde cierta "intimidad" con la foto... Porque cada foto tiene su propia manera de comportarse ante los ajustes y cada una necesita algo distinto para comenzar a decir lo que deseamos que digan...
