EXPOSED GAZE - Street photography from Montalbán, Carabobo, Venezuela || ENG-ESP || (08 Pics)
This is a town full of "photos hanging on the walls of the streets" (to put it in a somewhat poetic way)... I go out on the streets less and less often without my camera, as I always have the impression of "missing out on taking a photo" when I do... That's why I love formats like "Exposed Gaze" to share with you in #Hive my photographic portfolio and also how I think about doing street photography...
"Two gossipy neighbours"/"Dos vecinos chismosos"
"Toto sells coffee on the corner"/"Toto vende café en la esquina"
Staying in the same place always has its advantages and one of them is that almost everything you see around you, has a story behind it... Otilia was fitted with a pacemaker well over 20 years ago, and the device is still there but not working. No one knows how Otilia is still alive with her "pacemaker off" but she says that "God and the fact that she get a lot of sunshine every day while walking, keeps her alive and well"... Two stray dogs are always on the same street corner daily, they seem to spend the day watching everyone and muttering things (that, or I'm imagining it)... Toto, my old high school classmate, has solved his financial problems by selling coffee cups on a corner of the main street of the village. In addition to earning some money, Toto takes the opportunity to talk (and talk, talk, talk and talk some more) with everyone who comes near him... He has always loved to talk non-stop!... :)
"Street as before"/"Calle igual que antes"
"Juan"/"Juan"
"Celina"/"Celina"
A lot can happen on a daily basis while I'm taking pictures... Sometimes it's a street that seems "frozen in time" and takes me straight back to my childhood years in the 80s... Or it can be Juan walking down a street with his everlasting smile and his childish look... Or Celina, my friend Gerardo's older sister, who has always been like a sister to me and that day she comes laughing on her bicycle, as we have both realised that it is the first time I have taken a picture of her in the more than 40 years of friendship we have...
It is a town of contrasts... A couple of nice dogs seem to be "discussing" in the central square just in front of the church, from where the thundering voice of the parish priest can be heard amplified by megaphones... A few metres from there, Dario waits patiently at the door of someone's house who charitably helps him with medicine and something to eat... The streets don't even have a metre without something to count...

hello @jlinaresp . I like to capture photographs but your and my thinking differ in photographs. My photographs capture natural scenes whereas your photographs are of everyday life. I get a lot of inspiration and learning from your posts. Your photographs are really beautiful.
Hello @pranavgtd friend!... Yes, I have seen your photos and they are generally beautiful natural landscapes!... I love looking at them!... I had a period of landscape photos and even one of a lot of macro-photography, but I must admit Since I started taking street photos, this seduced me immensely and it is the type of photo that I have continued to take the most... Thank you very much for your valuable and motivating comment!... Greetings and a big hug!
