Music is as old as man

The art and beauty of music began perhaps time immemorial, such that the Holy Book of the Bible states that Lucifer, the demoted angel, was the result of arrogance and being overly ambitious. Even God is a lover of music, through praise and worship.

Music is as old as man; articulating words in sonorous voices is as pleasing to the ears. Musical notes are words written by a songwriter, oftentimes conveying obvious or underlying messages. Music has traveled through ancient times, evolving equally as man modernized. Writing down songs often requires matching them with appropriate notes or beats, which usually accentuates the beauty of such songs. Songs often come in rhythm or are accompanied by appropriate beats that bring melody to the ears.

I always desired to master a musical instrument, but luck was against me. I was often faster than the beats. Even though my voice is not perfect for songs, I enjoy listening to music, and the best of them all lies in the old countryside music.

The musical vibes of old country music are on a different note, mostly accompanied by beats that could be supplied by simple means like clapps or drum beats. Countryside music often comes in the form of tales or stories, picking up the interest of listeners.

The addition of musical beats to songs often gives a more pleasurable sound to music. These beats could be those that capture the hearts of listeners. Unless for songs in opera, most are accompanied by beats, which can be from one or many musical instruments.

The era of acapellas is gradually waning, but these are musical types that I enjoyed listening to. They are more natural, and their use has fewer instruments. The ability to traverse different musical tones without the interruption of beats from musical instruments gives acapellas a heartwarming musical feel.

Though I am not good at singing, I was able to serve as a member of an acapella gospel group in high school, and somewhere along the line, my voice was accommodated therein.

Music could come to us in quick or slow beats, and this determines the instrument the music serves in the ears of listeners. We do not necessarily need to have good voices to appreciate quality music. Sometimes, humming or vibing to songs makes a difference in how much we appreciate such music. Here in Africa, music is part of our culture, one that we readily exhibit when needed.

The underlying messages in every song have a tendency to promote their acceptance among the public. Listeners to music are able to follow and appreciate the lyrics of songs when they can easily relate their message to reality.

People often went to concerts and shows to listen to and feel the vibe of songs, but recently, these songs have become readily available on our mobile devices and even on Bluetooth speakers. Listeners are able to easily, through quality devices, appreciate songs with the tap of their fingers.
