Wow, we are now at the 300th week! Such a milestone for Splinterlands for still holding this contest. Kudos to all the peeps behind curation and making this contest going.

Art Process

My vision for this card is a celecstial unicorn in a form of human. I wanted to put a galaxy full of stars and sparkles on the background. Next, I used a solid brush for the lineart.

On separate layers, I filled the white space with the base colors. I chose an off white color for the skin, and a cyan blue for the hair. In here, I also added the purple horn. I chose a dark purple for the background as the galaxy space. I then worked on of the eyes and rendering the shadows, assuming the light source is coming from the right side.

I intensified more of the shadows and gave some glow to the body. On another layer, I added some floating strands of hair. The glow floating on the horn is a special brush that you can adjust the glow. The clothing that looked like a glowing metal was made using a glow brush, airbrush, and some textured brush

Final Art

Using a glitter brush, I randomly put the glowing dots on the canvas to mimic the stars. I used the spark brush on another layer and clipped a glow-dodge layer. Lastly, added those shoosh lines for added detail.
