Namba’s Streets Lead Me to Namba Parks

Hello! 🤩

Another day, another 20k steps. 😁 Just a short background, I was in Japan last Summer, and it would be a waste of a day if I did not explore the city. But at this point, my feet were used to the long walks, and so was the heat. Even though the heat was beating me and making me sweat like a pig, it did not stop me from checking out Namba Parks. Namba Parks is known for its green landscapes, but I was going to check out Toys R Us, the closest branch to my hotel. So, why not take pictures as well, right? 😁

It was just two trains away so it was not stressing me out except that I had to go through some buildings and pathways before I reached Namba Parks.

Google Maps was a big help. Bicycles were parked everywhere, which I think is good for the environment and for a little cardio, hehe.

I noticed that some bicycles were customized, like this one, it has a basket at the back, and I thought, perhaps the owner shops after work. I get those little wondering in my head whenever I see something that I do not see every day.

After getting off the train, the GPS pointed us to a crossing. Ah, gladly, there were pedestrians waiting for the green light. I sometimes go with the crowd because I was scared to stick out, haha. 😆

I found myself to an open park. It was a place surrounded by buildings. I bet here is were events are held. It felt refreshing to feel the wind in my face after squeezing through crowds.

After passing through the open park, I just walked ahead and headed to the mall.

I found a grand stair that nobody was taking, haha. It could be the highlight of the building, but everyone ignored it.

Some people used it for going down, though, I understand that most of the shopgoers had tired feet and just opted for the escalator.

On the escalator, you stand on the right side if you are standing, and on the left side, for walking.

I had to take this picture for the art style reference, hehe. 😁 I wondered what anime was this and turned out to be an advertisement for something. Instead of a model, why not hire an artist, right? Very creative ad. I thought it was a movie like Kimi No Nawa.

On the other side of the grand stairs were screens for ads and campaigns. I just noticed the glass ceiling, perhaps for energy efficiency. The mall felt open with glass installments, and hey, very nice for photos. 🤩

After passing some buildings, I can finally see the “Namba Parks” Ahh~ it was a relief to know that I was in the right direction after all. My eyes were just glued to the stoplights.

A little more walking and yay! I found it. 😊

I wanted to explore more of the place but I am determined to buy that Tamagotchi and be back to the hotel before night. It was everything a shopper wanted! Shop, dine, catch a movie, and of course, explore the gardens.

In the evening, an event will be held for, I think, the Summer festival. I wanted to, but I was sweaty and tired from walking all day. Maybe one day if I had more time, I would visit this mall again.

Yeah, definitely a lot of walking because the taxi is expensive. 😁 I enjoyed the train though, very efficient for people who likes to explore the city.

Have a great day too, Jay!
