If You Could See The World Through My Eyes ☁️

Today's art concept is an eye. 👁 Eyes are said to be the window of our souls. I feel like the eyes are the most expressive body part. 😍 The color of my eyes is dark brown but more like lighter. I got it in my mom's side. So weird that some people thought that I am weary contact lens. 🤣 In my count, about seven people already mentioned this to me. Anyway~

Let's start the process~ 💫💫💫

The concept would be ethereal fantasy. The rays of the sun glistened in the eye. The character is looking up at the sky, reflecting the clouds and flowers.

Using a soft brush, I first sketched the eyes looking up to the sky. I was thinking of drawing two eyes, but it would be fitting for this art to just focus on one eye. Gave the character bangs and thick lashes. This eye is more like on the anime side, which I always draw.

I chose those undersaturated colors for the bases because later on, I am going to layer them glow and shadows. The iris is color blue reflecting the sky. The eyebrow is a gray-undertone yellow.

This is inspired by this art. I was actually going to draw a full portrait but I scratched that and started drawing an eye, haha~!

Using g-pen, I drew first the bangs. I was thinking of purple hair, but I think gray-ish to off-white suits are better. On another layer, I drew the lashes using g-pen again. Hard to put those organic curls on the lashes. 😅

For the clouds, I picked the white color and started dabbing randomly on the iris. I made sure it is a balanced random. 🤣 I have a pre-downloaded cherry blossoms flower brush. It became just random flowers because it is too small to see the details. I airbrushed black color on the corners of the iris, and added glow using airbrush for the eye's shine.

Okay~ So I added more of the dark shadow on the upper part of the eyeball. I also softened the tips of the lashes. I want this art to be a little softie~ Next, I added more stand on the hair, plus shine. What I learned from a YouTube tutorial that I watched is, to copy the layer> set to blur(strong)> and lower the opacity. You will get a softer look~

Final Art

To put the magic on the art, I added another layer on top of all and set it to Add Glow mode. I used an airbrush for the rays and glows on the sclera. Same to the shine on the strand of the hair, I just minimize the size of the brush. Same brush, I picked a darker color on the shadings under the bangs. On a low opacity, I use the circle brush and put bokehs around the eyes.
