[Fan Art] Miu and Female Forest Healer 🍀

How is your weekend so far? 😊

Almost a week of not touching my drawing tablet because of real-life duties. 😅 For this post, I chose Miu and Female Forest Healer together. Miu is such an adorable creature. I wonder what type Miu is? 😊

Art Process

Last night I was looking for a reference for a girl and a cat together. I want the pose of the girl cuddling the cat. I saw this perfect reference just by putting the keywords. 😊

Notice here that I used different layers for the body, hair, and wood circlet so that I can easily adjust them while working on the sketch.

Next, I used a pencil brush called Kuro downloaded from the asset store. It has a soft edge, unlike the usual solid pencil brush that I use. I use different weights of line to make the lineart balance.

I copied the base color from the original art using the color picker. This saves me time from guessing the right colors. Other times, I adjust the hues and saturations. Next, I worked on the shadows.

In this stage, I use an airbrush with soft to medium pressure. I also worked on the eyes of the healer and Miu.

I intensified the shadows more especially on the right side since the light source is on the left.

To make it appear as if the sun rays are directly reflected on the hair, I used the add glow mode and used a flat brush and airbrush.

Same to the skin, Miu's fur, and clothing.

Final Art

For the background, I simply combined the colors of blue, purple, and black using airbrush and flat brush.

I thought of putting the clovers since it is the Female Forest Healer. 😊 Lastly, I applied some noise filter and set it to 10 percent opacity.
