I have arrived! This is my first time to join the contest. Thanks to @Solumviz for inviting me here. I see some of my friends here too and hopefully more will hop on the wagon.

The reason why it took me a while to join is that, I was confused with how to create a Wax wallet. And then, with Solumviz's help, I was able to get one. The next challenge was putting in some token. Since Binance is banned in my country, I opted to Kucoin. Gladly, it went well. I was more hyped to make a fan art of @radaquest.☺️

My choice of card for this week is Thielia Dream Dancer.

Art Process

First is to find inspiration from Pinterest. For this card, I went for a bust-up profile. I envisioned the character to be sitting on a red sofa with a floor lamp on the side. I worked on the lineart using a g-pen. I separate the layer for the eyes so that I can easily adjust it.

Next, I filled the spaces with the base colors in separate layers. Here, I was also working with the background. On clipped layers to the base color layers, I used an airbrush for the soft shadings. The accessories are default clothing brush on the toolbar. A great help for me who cannot draw chains manually. The sequins on the clothing are also a downloaded brush from the asset store.

Over the soft shadows, I applied cell shadows using a solid brush and then blur some parts of it using the blur brush. Same goes to the background. Now, the textured wall in the background is an image from asset store in multiply mode. Added the shines on the hair and clothing.

Final Art

I wanted dramatic lights so I applied a yellow glow on the lamp reflecting on the hair and the chair. I applied a dark shade of purple for the shadows where the light did not touch the subject. Finally, adding the noise filter at 10 percent opacity.
