For the 11th edition, I chose Zaede. 🙌🏻

Art Process

The vision that I had on mind was that Zaede was on the ground making some potions- since she likes to carry them around. The background would be books and potions. There would be candles around like having a ritual.

Next is filling the space with base colors. I colored each part in different layers. Her skin color complemented the purple clothing. After that, I used a hard and soft brush for the rendering. Here, I also did the eyes.

I added more details like the hair shine, blush on the cheeks, a reflection light on the nose, pearl necklace, and adding glow to the skin and clothing. I last minute added the glitter on the skin and clothing. I thought it would add more character to the subject itself. The fun part was making a story out of the background. The books were made via a downloaded brush. I just had to adjust them to make piles. It was not a random brush so I had to make a twist on it not to look repetitive. The same goes for the potions and candles. All were available on the asset store. The wall pattern was an image and then I put it on a multiply mode.

Final Art

In the final stage, I wanted the candles and potions to glow by using an airbrush in add glow mode. I added more reflecting glows on the skin and on the floor. Lastly, I masked the canvas with a textured image and lowered the opacity.
