Días previos a Navidad del año 2022, una compañera de trabajo que es fans de mis creaciones, un día se acercó y me dice que para los regalos de Navidad quiere regalar a sus dos sobrinitos algún juguete tejido, ella quiere motivarlos a apreciar el arte y mostrarles que existen otros juguetes con los que se pueden divertir.

Days before Christmas in the year 2022, a co-worker who is a fan of my creations, one day approached me and told me that for Christmas gifts she wants to give her two little nephews a knitted toy, she wants to motivate them to appreciate art and show them that there are other toys with which they can have fun.

Me encantan los proyectos de tejidos relacionados con niños, el ver cómo aprecian lo que reciben, las preguntas qué hacen ¿cómo que tejido? ¿cómo lo hacen?. Disfrutar de esas expresiones tan genuinas en la cara de los niños son de los momentos que más disfruto.

Luego que mi compañera de trabajo me comenta su deseo, me dediqué a buscar qué hacer para el sobrino varón, para la sobrina sería más fácil.

Mientras buscaba qué hacer para el sobrino, recordé que había tejido hace algún tiempo unas babuchas con motivo de tiburón y un títere de conejita.

I love knitting projects related to children, seeing how they appreciate what they receive, the questions what do they do, what knitting? how do they do that?. Enjoying those genuine expressions on the children's faces are one of the moments that I enjoy the most.

After my co-worker told me about her desire, I dedicated myself to finding what to do for the male nephew, for the niece it would be easier.

While I was looking for what to do for my nephew, I remembered that some time ago he had knitted slippers with a shark motif and a bunny puppet.

Entonces quise combinar la experiencia de haber tejido un títere, me dije, puedo hacer un títere con motivo de tiburón😊.

So I wanted to combine the experience of having had a puppet, I said to myself, I can make a shark puppet😊.

Como las tiendas en donde puedo comprar lanas quedan lejos de donde vivo, procuro tener lanas en inventario. Como había decidido hacer un tiburón, busqué lana en color gris, también necesitaba lana en colores blanco y rojo.

Deseaba que el títere fuese lo suficientemente firme, para ello tejí la lana gris en hebra doble.

Since the stores where I can buy yarn are far from where I live, I try to keep yarn in stock. Since I had decided to make a shark, I looked for gray wool, I also needed white and red wool.

I wanted the puppet to be firm enough, so I wove the gray wool in a double strand.

Para tejer este títere tiburón me he guiado por la forma en cómo tejí el títere conejita y las babuchas tiburón.

El títere tiburón no tiene tan redondeado el inicio, en esta parte me he guiado por cómo hice las babuchas.

To knit this shark puppet I have been guided by the way in which I knitted the bunny puppet and the shark slippers.

The shark puppet does not have such a rounded start, in this part I have been guided by how I made the slippers.

Luego de haber tejido lo que representa donde irían los dientes, tejí la lengua. La lengua es un poco más pequeña que las otras dos piezas, la blanca y la gris.

After knitting what represents where the teeth would go, I knitted the tongue. The tongue is slightly smaller than the other two pieces, the white and the gray.

Seguidamente uní la lengua a la parte gris. Ya en esta parte aumenta mi emoción, se va ya viendo la vida que va tomando esta creación. Mi deseo de tejer más rápido aumenta y así ver el resultado. Soy algo ansiosa 🙃.

Next I joined the tongue to the gray part. Already in this part my emotion increases, it is already seeing the life that this creation is taking. My desire to knit faster increases and thus see the result. I'm somewhat anxious 🙃.

Ya unida las tres piezas, disfruto de ver como la lengua luce tan real.

Once the three pieces are joined, I enjoy seeing how the tongue looks so real.

This puppet can see through its beautiful little eyes. Can you see that the puppet is watching you😉?

Para hacer las aletas, tuve que recurrir a fotos de tiburones y a la babucha, me costaron un poco.

Adicional, tuve que desbaratar parte del cuerpo, para tejer la última aleta, ya que el hilo se había terminado, casi entre en crisis, menos mal tuve una forma de resolver sin que afectará el resultado final.

To make the fins, I had to resort to photos of sharks and the slippers, they cost me a bit.

Additionally, I had to tear apart part of the body, to weave the last fin, since the thread had run out, I almost went into crisis, luckily I had a way to solve it without affecting the final result.

Tejer la dentadura fue muy divertido, a medida que tejía un diente detenía el tejido para disfrutar de cómo iba luciendo el tiburón.

Knitting the denture was a lot of fun, as I knitted a tooth I stopped the knitting to enjoy how the shark was looking.

Luego de terminado el títere se me ocurrió llevarlo a la oficina, mis compañeros se pasaron buen rato jugando con él. Fue un momento divertido y verlos a ellos jugar me hizo muy feliz.

After finishing the puppet it occurred to me to take it to the office, my colleagues had a good time playing with it. It was a fun time and watching them play made me very happy.

Quizás a futuro haga títeres y los tendré en la oficina para bajar el stress y divertirnos.

Maybe in the future I'll make puppets and I'll have them in the office to reduce stress and have fun.

Como mi compañera de trabajo me había pedido dos juguetes, para la niña tenía en inventario una muñeca 2 en 1, es decir en un mismo juguete están las dos muñecas.

As my co-worker had asked me for two toys, I had a 2-in-1 doll in stock for the girl, that is, both dolls are in the same toy.

Este juguete es una maravilla, por la falda de la muñeca, se hace una maniobra volteando la falda apareciendo otra muñeca con otro atuendo, es un juguete mágico, lo cual me encanta😍.

Luego de haber culminado de tejer los juguetes, los coloqué en unas preciosas bolsas de regalo. Cuando los mostré a mi compañera de trabajo, quedo satisfecha con los juguetes y agradeció enormemente que los llevé en bolsas de regalos.

This toy is wonderful, because of the doll's skirt, a maneuver is made by turning the skirt around and another doll with another outfit appears, it is a magical toy, which I love 😍.

After I finished knitting the toys, I placed them in some beautiful gift bags. When I showed them to my co-worker, she was satisfied with the toys and was very appreciative that I brought them in gift bags.

Quedé muy satisfecha con este proyecto, los niños quedaron felices, mi compañera de trabajo me envió fotos de los niños jugando con sus juguetes tejidos. Que hermoso que existen personas que quieren mostrar a través de juguetes el arte a los niños en una de sus expresiones, como lo es el tejido a crochet.

I was very satisfied with this project, the children were happy, my coworker sent me photos of the children playing with their knitted toys. How beautiful that there are people who want to show art to children through toys in one of its expressions, such as crochet.
