Crochet star appliqué

Me encanta las estrellas, son de esos elementos del universo que me gusta contemplar en las noches, su titilar tan silente me recuerda que el brillo está allí siempre, aún en las noches más oscuras.

I love the stars, they are one of those elements of the universe that I like to contemplate at night, their silent twinkling reminds me that the brightness is always there, even on the darkest nights.

Ese día que tejí la estrella fue uno de esos día que quería tejer y no sabía qué, tengo tantos proyectos por tejer en mi lista de deseos que me costaba decidir. Como estaba indecisa, tomé las bolitas de resto de hilos que van quedando de otros proyectos los metí en una bolsa, tomé mis implementos para tejer, un sandwich para almorzar y me dirigí a un centro comercial.

Estando en la terraza del centro comercial saqué mis hilitos y los coloqué en la mesa aún sin saber qué tejer. Entre pensamientos, reflexiones, decidí revisar algunas publicaciones en Instagram y Pinterest, y mientras revisaba se sumaban más proyectos a mi lista de deseos. En esa búsqueda me tropecé con el patrón de una una estrella y fue el patrón que seleccioné para tejer ese día, lamentablemente no pude ubicar el patrón para compartirlo con ustedes.

That day I knitted the star was one of those days when I wanted to knit and didn't know what, I have so many projects to knit on my wish list that I had a hard time deciding. Since I was undecided, I took the remaining balls of thread from other projects, put them in a bag, took my knitting implements, a sandwich for lunch and headed to a shopping center.

While on the terrace of the shopping center, I took out my threads and placed them on the table, still not knowing what to knit. Between thoughts and reflections, I decided to review some posts on Instagram and Pinterest, and while I was reviewing, more projects were added to my wish list. In that search I came across the one star pattern and it was the pattern I selected to knit that day, unfortunately I could not locate the pattern to share it with you.

Entre los hilos se encontraban diferente tonos del color amarillo, seleccioné el amarillo más oscuro entre los tonos disponibles.

Seguidamente comencé a tejer la estrella, iniciando con un anillo mágico dando inicio al tejido en espiral, propio de los amigurrumis (muñecos tejidos), aunque este no es un amigurrumi, el principio de esta estrella es igual, entre puntos bajos y aumentos.

Among the threads were different shades of yellow, I selected the darkest yellow among the available shades.

Next I began to knit the star, starting with a magic ring, beginning the spiral knitting, typical of amigurrumis (knitted dolls), although this is not an amigurrumi, the principle of this star is the same, between single crochets and increases.

En la penúltima vuelta de la estrellita de cinco puntas, tejí una especie de abanicos, cinco en total. En este punto, realmente no me parecía una estrella, sentí algo de decepción, sin embargo continué tejiendo.

In the penultimate round of the little five-pointed star, I wove some kind of fans, five in total. At this point, I didn't really think I was a star, I felt some disappointment, however I continued knitting.

Paso siguiente, fue la incorporación del color blanco, con este color tejería lo que sería la última vuelta de la estrella, esta vuelta la inicié con cierta desconfianza, ya que en este punto como les he mencionado, no lograba visualizar una estrella.

The next step was the incorporation of the color white, with this color I would knit what would be the last round of the star, I started this round with some distrust, since at this point, as I have mentioned, I could not visualize a star.

Con hilo en color blanco, fui bordeando con el tejido cuidadosamente la estrella, de tal forma asegurarme no me fuese a saltar algún punto, de manera tal, evitar que no se formará la estrella.

With white thread, I carefully edged the star with the fabric, to ensure that I would not skip any stitches, thus preventing the star from forming.

Y ocurrió la magia a través del tejido, se ha formado una estrella de cinco puntas, me puse muy feliz con el resultado. Que importante es no desistir y llegar hasta el final.

Quiero aprovechar la ocasión de comentarle, que me gusta tener apliques tejidos en crochet, como mariposas, lazos, hojas, estrellas, soles, corazones, flores, entre otros, con el fin de poder usarlos en decoración, bien sea en un cintillo, en un sweater o simplemente para decorar un regalo.

And the magic happened through the fabric, a five-pointed star was formed, I was very happy with the result. How important it is not to give up and go to the end.

I want to take the opportunity to tell you that I like to have crocheted appliqués, such as butterflies, bows, leaves, stars, suns, hearts, flowers, among others, in order to be able to use them in decoration, either on a headband, on a sweater or simply to decorate a gift.
