Amigurumi - Giraffe

Un día recibo una llamada vía telefónica, era mi hermana diciéndome que quería enviar unos regalos a las hijas de uno de sus compañeros de trabajo, por lo que me preguntó que si podía hacer dos amigurrumis (muñeco tejido), uno para una niña de dos años y otro para una niña de tres años, le comenté que una jirafa sería ideal para la niña de tres años y para la niña de dos años pudiese tejer una osita. Mi hermana estuvo de acuerdo con mi recomendación.

Establecido el acuerdo de lo que mi hermana deseaba, decidí comenzar a tejer la jirafa, lo primero que hice fue buscar entre mis hilos los colores que usaría para este proyecto, tenía la libertad de elegir los colores, seleccioné los colores, rosado y verde en hilo acrílico.

Seguidamente armé los rollos de los colores con doble hebra, quise hacer este trabajo para que tuviese más hebra los hilos a utilizar.

Having established the agreement of what my sister wanted, I decided to start knitting the giraffe, the first thing I did was look among my threads for the colors I would use for this project, I had the freedom to choose the colors, I selected the colors, pink and green in acrylic yarn.

Acostumbro a tejer todas las piezas, luego de haber tejido la cabeza y el cuerpo, tejí las orejas y los cuernos y también las piernas y las manos. Ver todas las piezas por separado me permite ver lo maravilloso de lo que se viene, una preciosa y gran jirafa.

Así va luciendo la jirafa, me parece que en este punto ya estaba perfecta. Solo que le faltaba algo, le faltaba como un vestido, algo que la hiciera lucir abrigada y muy coqueta.

Mi preciosa sobrina @stephye, que entre muchas cosas. es diseñadora gráfico me ayudó a seleccionar de qué color sería el vestido, ella me dijo que el color perfecto sería blanco con algún detalle en color amarillo.

Al principio, no me parecía que el color blanco funcionaría, más sin embargo, mi sobrina es la experta en colores, así que tejí el vestido en color blanco en hilo acrílico con unas orillas en amarillo.

So I got to work and made a nice dress, what was difficult for me was deciding what colors I would use to knit the dress. My beautiful niece @stephye, who among many things is a graphic designer, helped me select what color the dress would be, she told me that the perfect color would be white with some yellow details.

At first, I didn't think that white would work, however, my niece is the color expert, so I knitted the dress in white with acrylic yarn with yellow edges.

Casi siempre cuando tejo algún proyecto de este tipo, lo hago en secreto, me gusta mucho sorprender a mi mamá cuando lo termino. Este proyecto no fue la excepción, se lo llevé a mi mamá, aparte de que quedó encantada con el resultado, comienza a jugar y deleitarse con el amigurrumi que he desarrollado. Verla disfrutar de lo que hago, me hace feliz.

Almost always when I knit a project of this type, I do it secretly, I really like to surprise my mother when I finish it. This project was no exception, I took it to my mother, apart from the fact that she was delighted with the result, she begins to play and delight with the amigurrumi that I have developed. Seeing her enjoy what I do makes me happy.

Este resultado me encantó, me deleita ver cómo luce su atuendo, en especial ese toque especial que le ha dado el bolso. Su corazoncito en el centro del cuello del vestido, hace que aumente la ternura de esta jirafa.

Cuando se la entregué a mi hermana, me dice, esto le va a encantar a la niña, le dije, eso es indudable. Que este proyecto haya sido para una niña, lo hace doblemente especial.

Por cierto, el alto de esta jirafa es de cincuenta centímetro, es bastante alta.

I loved this result, I love seeing how her outfit looks, especially that special touch that the bag has given her. Her little heart in the center of the neck of the dress increases the cuteness of this giraffe.
