This story begins in a hotel room which, despite being rather shabby, is a relief to be able to sleep in a bed to save the game and recover energy. At any other time in life this room would have looked pretty bad, but in these circumstances it was a palace.

My mission was to take down The Mechanist who was holed up in a fairly well guarded robot factory. The town of Goodneighbor was the closest to me and that's why I chose it as my base of operations.

I took the opportunity to prepare the necessary food and medicines for the road while I continued walking through the small streets of the town that, fortunately for me, also had a weapons and armor store and a station where I could leave my power armor to repair it and continue with the work.

Mi misión era acabar con El Mecanista que estaba refugiado en una fábrica de robots bastante bien custodiada. El pueblo de Goodneighbor era el que me quedaba más cerca y por eso lo elegí como mi base de operaciones.

Aproveché de preparar la comida y medicamentos necesarios para el camino mientras seguía recorriendo las pequeñas calles del pueblo que, para fortuna mía, también tenía tienda de armas, armaduras y una estación donde podía dejar mi servoarmadura para repararla y continuar con el trabajo.

With all the equipment ready and the power armor well loaded and painted, I set out on the trip to General Atomics.

Ya con todo el equipamiento listo y la servoarmadura bien cargada y pintada, emprendí el viaje a General Atomics.

On the way there was everything: super mutants, mutant animals, looters and robots. Night fell over the city and you could feel the atmosphere of danger around every corner. Luckily, my armor was holding up pretty well to the damage and kept me going at ease.

I could find a small pond that caught my attention because of its green glow, which indicated that there were Glowing Mushrooms, which are very useful when creating medicine, so I collected some.

At last I was in front of General Atomics, it was complicated to get there, but as soon as I entered I realized that these robots were doing much more damage than I expected to receive; therefore, I had to leave the building and rethink my strategy.

I tried to go more stealthily, even going with the power armor and on my way I came across a rather flashy magazine called “Tesla”. It enhanced my damage with energy weapons.

One never expects an enemy to do that much damage until after the character falls to the ground and well... to repeat the whole procedure again.

On my second attempt, I found a small building where I could repair my power armor, which suited me just fine because, no matter how resistant it is, after taking damage, it gradually breaks down.

En mi segundo intento encontré un pequeño edificio donde podía reparar mi servoarmadura cosa que me cayó como anillo al dedo porque, por más resistente que sea, después de recibir daños va rompiéndose poco a poco.

Apart from that, my presence attracted a lot of attention from the super mutants and I had to deal with them.

Once again in the factory I managed to handle things better and I could see the Mechanist, with a couple of well-placed mines, a few rifle shots and a little patience, I managed to give him a Game Over.

Una vez más en la fábrica logré manejar las cosas mejor y pude ver al Mecanista, con un par de minas bien colocadas, unos cuantos disparos de rifle y un poco de paciencia, logré asestarle un Game Over.

It turns out that it was a brain inside the robot being handled by The Mechanist, I wanted to say that the real Mechanist was somewhere else... I felt like the classic Mario Bros where they tell me that the princess is in another castle, only in this case it was that the boss was in another factory.

Resulta que era un cerebro adentro del robot siendo manejado por El Mecanista, quería decir que el verdadero Mecanista estaba en otro lugar... me sentí como el clásico de Mario Bros en el que me dicen que la princesa está en otro castillo, solo que en este caso era que el jefe estaba en otra fábrica.

I continued sweeping the other rooms and that's how I ended up with the General Atomics robots, when I turned in the mission I was told that there were 2 more robots that I had to hunt before finding the real Mechanist, quite surprising, but I felt it as a challenge, waiting for the rest of the missions those robots will be more challenging.

Seguí barriendo las demás habitaciones y así fue como termine con los robots de General Atomics, al entregar la misión me dijeron que había 2 robots más a los que debía cazar antes de encontrar al verdadero Mecanista, bastante sorpresivo, pero lo sentí como un reto, a la espera de que en el resto de las misiones dichos robots sean más desafiantes.
