Este fin de semana pasado tuve una experiencia maravillosa junto a 44 jóvenes de mi parroquia, ya que por primera vez realizamos el retiro Talita Kum, propio de la parroquia, una experiencia que quiere propiciar el encuentro con uno mismo, con los demás y con Dios desde la actualización para nuestros tiempos de los milagros de Jesús, en especial, de sus palabras dirigida a una joven: " Talita Kum" (Mc 5,41) con las cuales obra El maravilloso milagro de la resurrección, esto es, devuelve la vida a alguien que se había dado como muerta.

Todo este fin de semana no pudo terminar de mejor manera que con una acción de gracias mediante la celebración de la Eucaristía pues no hay mayor agradecimiento que ofrecer sobre el altar los dones el pan y el vino tal como Cristo lo hizo en la última cena, ya que se trata de ofrecer todas esas vidas maravillosas que hicieron también que este retiro fuera posible, es aquí donde yo me pregunto qué hacemos por la humanidad?, en concreto, qué hacemos por la humanidad joven que busca saciar tantas preguntas y deseos?

Ante la inmensidad de este reto no nos debemos apabullar sino más bien ponernos en acción y disponernos para realizar todas aquellas actividades que puedan ofrecer a la juventud de hoy herramienta para su crecimiento personal, pues no hay otra manera de poder enfrentar los retos de hoy, hacerlo desde la figura de un Cristo joven y cercano es de un provecho profundo ya que nadie nos conoce como él y su palabra tiene poder transformador, esto es lo que dice lo hace, entonces si hoy nos dice como aquella joven del Evangelio: "Levántate", que no nos quepa duda que eso se va a realizar.

Esto es un gran aporte para los seres humanos de hoy en día, en especial, para aquellos que en Cristo buscan una luz para su camino y en este caso específicamente para la juventud que pide alguna orientación para sus existencias.

Last weekend, I had a wonderful experience with 44 young people from my parish. For the first time, we held the Talita Kum retreat, which is unique to our parish. It is an experience that aims to promote an encounter with oneself, with others, and with God through the updating of the miracles of Jesus for our times, especially his words to a young woman: "Talita Kum" (Mk 5:41), with which he performs the miraculous miracle of resurrection, that is, he brings back to life someone who had been given up for dead.

The whole weekend could not have ended in a better way than with an act of thanksgiving through the celebration of the Eucharist. There is no greater gratitude than to offer on the altar the gifts of bread and wine, just as Christ did at the Last Supper. It is about offering all those wonderful lives that also made this retreat possible. This is where I ask myself, what are we doing for humanity? Specifically, what are we doing for young people who are seeking to satisfy so many questions and desires?

In the face of the immensity of this challenge, we should not be overwhelmed but rather take action and be willing to carry out all those activities that can offer today's youth tools for their personal growth. There is no other way to face the challenges of today. Doing so from the figure of a young and close Christ is of profound benefit, since no one knows us like him and his word has transforming power. This is what he says and does, so if today he tells us like that young woman from the Gospel: "Get up," let us have no doubt that it will be done.

This is a great contribution for human beings today, especially for those who seek light in Christ for their path and in this case specifically for young people who ask for some guidance for their existence.
