El trabajo es una de las actividades humanas donde más y mejor se manifiesta nuestra esencia, porque siempre lo que hacemos es una extensión y/o expresión de nuestro ser, esto es, si hacemos un buen trabajo es porque estamos capacitados para el mismo si no lo hacemos o nos falta la capacidad o simplemente decidimos hacerlo de manera mediocre, y es aquí donde parto en este escrito para exponer una idea que a pesar de ser de preclara evidencia a veces nos pasa desapercibida, y es que si realizamos bien una actividad laboral los resultados positivos y óptimos son solo cuestión de tiempo, de igual manera si es al contrario no tenemos derecho a reclamos, "el trabajador tiene derecho a su salario y el que no lo es, no lo tiene", así de sencillo y claro.

He tenido la dicha de conocer experiencias y testimonios de personas que a pesar de que no veían fruto de lo que realizaban y de que por mucho que se esforzaban por conseguir algún buen resultado no lo obtenían, al final han visto la luz en medio de la oscuridad, en el día menos esperado el sol brilló con fuerza y esclareció su camino como nunca lo hubiesen imaginado, y hoy en día son personas prósperas y exitosas.

La historia misma nos ha regalado el ejemplo de personas que han resaltado en esto de manera muy particular. Más aún al final si hacemos un examen minucioso de las personas de éxito una de sus notas distintivas es que muchos pensaban que sus esfuerzos eran en vano, de que en realidad no iban a poder lograr nada de lo se planteaban, incuso eran tildadas de locas. Me viene a la mente la escritora de la saga de Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling, de la cual se cuenta que fue rechazada por alrededor de 12 editoriales, pero no se rindió porque no solo amaba lo que hacía sino que sabía lo bien que había culminado su obra.

Como decía en párrafos previos, lo contrario también es cierto, por eso, cuando conozco personas que siguen la ley del mínimo esfuerzo en lo que realizan, que no son honradas en lo que hacen y, sobre todo, aún se quejan de lo que tienen y lo que han logrado, nace en mí una gran indignación, porque no pueden pretender cosechar lo que no han sembrado, pues uno termina recibiendo lo que da, y si lo que damos con nuestro trabajo es dolores de cabeza a quien piden nuestros servicios, ¿Con qué moral nos quejaremos?

Por esta razón, el trabajo debe ser hecho de la manera más óptima que sepamos y podamos, pues, al hacerlo así nos estamos vendiendo de buena manera a los demás, y se cumple a cabalidad el dicho de que "crea fama, y acuéstate a dormir", puesto que nos recomendarán por el buen servicio prestado. En este sentido, una vez escuché a alguien que recomendaba no trabajar por lo que nos vayan a pagar, sino por ofrecer una buena atención, dicho consejo condensa el pensamiento que aquí he querido transmitir, tendremos un mejor futuro (en todos los sentidos) si lo que hacemos, lo hacemos bien, además es el camino que más plenifica nuestra humanidad, a la cual fue entregada este mundo para mejorarlo cada día más.

Work is one of the human activities where our essence is most clearly manifested because what we do is always an extension and/or expression of ourselves. If we do a good job, it's because we are capable of it; if we don't or lack the capacity or simply choose to do it mediocrely, that's where I start in this writing to present an idea that, despite being of clear evidence, sometimes goes unnoticed: if we perform a work activity well, positive and optimal results are only a matter of time. Likewise, if it's the opposite, we have no right to complain. "The worker is entitled to their salary, and the one who is not, does not have it," that simple and clear.

I have had the fortune of knowing experiences and testimonies of people who, despite not seeing the fruits of their labor and no matter how hard they tried to achieve good results, did not obtain them. In the end, they saw the light in the midst of darkness, on the least expected day, the sun shone brightly and clarified their path like they never imagined, and today they are prosperous and successful individuals.

History itself has given us examples of people who have excelled in this particular aspect. Moreover, if we carefully examine successful people, one of their distinctive characteristics is that many thought their efforts were in vain, that they would not be able to achieve anything they set out to do. They were even called crazy. The writer of the Harry Potter saga comes to mind, J.K. Rowling, who was reportedly rejected by around 12 publishers but did not give up because she not only loved what she did but also knew how well she had completed her work.

As I mentioned in previous paragraphs, the opposite is also true. Therefore, when I meet people who follow the law of minimum effort in what they do, who are not honest in their actions, and above all, still complain about what they have and what they have achieved, a great indignation arises within me because they cannot expect to reap what they have not sown. One ends up receiving what they give, and if what we give through our work is headaches to those who request our services, how can we complain with any moral ground?

For this reason, work must be done in the most optimal way we know and can because by doing so, we are presenting ourselves well to others, and the saying "create a reputation and lie down to sleep" is fully fulfilled as we will be recommended for the good service provided. In this sense, I once heard someone recommending not to work for what we will be paid but to offer good service. This advice encapsulates the thought I wanted to convey here. We will have a better future (in every sense) if what we do, we do it well. Moreover, it is the path that fulfills our humanity the most, to which this world was entrusted to improve it every day.
