VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL

Hoy hemos realizado en mi parroquia el retiro de cuaresma de este año, el cual ha tenido como tema central o inspirador el título de este post, ya que hemos estado encaminando nuestras acciones pastorales a precisamente cultivar una Iglesia en salida, la cual tiene como uno de sus requerimientos guardar actitudes positivas en su encuentro con la sociedad, que en su diversidad también nos habla y nos exige que en el respeto de nuestra diferencias no seamos jueces implacables sino hermanos de camino que se esfuerzan por ser empáticos y hacer las cargas ligeras mediante un acompañamiento sincero, sin señalamientos sino desde un corazón dispuesto a dar la mano a quien lo necesite.

Éste ha sido un retiro fenomenal porque además del buen ambiente que había, la existencia superó las expectativas, pues, alrededor de 50 personas nos reunimos para compartir como hermanos en una misma fe, una familia que desde diversos sectores de la comunidad se dieron la oportunidad de hacer un stop y replantearse o cuestionarse la forma de comprender nuestro ser Iglesia, esto es algo imperante hacerlo en todas las áreas de nuestras vidas, ya que a veces podemos creer que estamos haciendo las cosas bien, cuando en realidad es todo lo contrario.

Siempre será válido que reflexionemos sobre si estamos escuchando a los demás o sólo lo simulamos, si los comprendemos o somos jueces implacables, finalmente, si somos hermanos compañeros de camino o piedras de obstáculos para que los demás avancen.

ENGLISH VERSION

Today we held the Lenten retreat for this year in my parish, which had as its central or inspiring theme the title of this post, since we have been directing our pastoral actions to precisely cultivate a Church on the go, which has as one of its requirements to keep positive attitudes in its encounter with society, which in its diversity also speaks to us and demands that in the respect of our differences we not be implacable judges but brothers on the way who strive to be empathetic and make the burdens lighter through sincere accompaniment, without pointing fingers but from a heart willing to lend a hand to those who need it.

This has been a phenomenal retreat because, in addition to the good atmosphere that existed, the turnout exceeded expectations, as around 50 people gathered to share as brothers and sisters in the same faith, a family that from different sectors of the community took the opportunity to make a stop and rethink or question the way we understand our being Church. This is something imperative to do in all areas of our lives, since sometimes we may believe that we are doing things well, when in reality it is quite the opposite.

It will always be valid for us to reflect on whether we are listening to others or just pretending, whether we understand them or are implacable judges, finally, whether we are brothers and sisters on the way or stumbling blocks for others to advance.
