Hello, dear movie and series loving community! I hope you are feeling amazing today. I'm fine, thank God, hot... very hot, looking forward to winter! Well, on that occasion I want to share with you a new review, of a series that I just finished and that I liked a lot. It is the series: Only Murders in the Building, a series that I liked a lot, many have good opinions about it, and for this reason I decided to start it one afternoon, to see how it was. Its premise seemed good to me, it mixes humor with mystery, it puts us in a curious building in New York, where three residents end up in an interesting investigation... they must discover a murder that has happened... Although it doesn't sound very special, they do it in a very curious way, haha.

Hola! Querida comunidad amante de las películas y las series! Espero se encuentren increíblemente el día de hoy. Yo estoy bien, gracias a Dios, con calor.. mucho calor, deseando que llegue el invierno! Bueno, en esa ocasión quiero compartirles una reseña nueva, de una serie que recién termine y que me ha gustado bastante. Se trata de la serie: Solo Asesinatos en el Edificio, una serie que ha gustado bastante, muchos tienen buenas opiniones de ella, y por esto mismo decidí empezarla una tarde cualquiera, a ver qué tal. Su premisa me pareció buena, mezcla humor con misterio, nos mete en un curioso edificio en Nueva York, donde tres residentes terminaran en una interesante investigación.. deberán descubrir un asesinato que ha ocurrido.. Aunque no suene muy especial, lo hacen de una manera muy curiosa, jaja.

The main characters of this great story are Charles, played by Steven Martin, who is an old actor.. who had enough fame, and the classic glory that usually have the known actors, Oliver played by Martin Short, who is a music producer who is having some economic problems, and Mabel played by the very talented (and loved by me) Selena Gomez, a somewhat shy young woman.. but who hides a somewhat murky past. One casual day, like any other, these three neighbors meet and discover a great passion they have in common: crime podcasts, after this, they decide to join forces to discover and solve an interesting mystery... behind the death of one of their building mates. Although at first it was a simple curiosity, it quickly turns into an obsession to solve the case, causing them to get into various problems, secrets, and suspicions. The chemistry between the three main characters is incredible! There are great dynamics between them. One of the things I liked the most, was the very good way of mixing comedy and mystery in a very fluid way. Most of the comic scenes that star these characters, are integrated in a natural way to the plot.. to the moments of tension/suspense that are given from the detective investigation itself haha, this good combination manages to keep you hooked and entertained, without making things too heavy or complex... Also, I give it several positive points because it has managed to build very good secondary characters, who are very good and captivating, just like the protagonist trio. There is extravagance, several eccentric neighbors, each one contributes to the plot, something I enjoyed very much.

Los protagonistas de esta gran historia son Charles, interpretado por el Steven Martin, quien es un actor antiguo.. que tenía bastante fama, y la clásica gloria que suelen tener los actores conocidos, Oliver interpretado por Martin Short, quien es un productor musical que está teniendo ciertos problemas económicos, y Mabel interpretada por la talentosísima (y amada por mi) Selena Gomez, una joven algo tímida.. pero que oculta un pasado algo turbio. Un día casual, como cualquier otro, estos tres vecinos se encuentran y descubren una gran pasión que tienen en común: Los Podcast de crímenes, luego de esto, deciden unir fuerzas para descubrir y resolver un misterio interesante.. detrás de la muerte de uno de sus compañeros de edificio. Aunque al principio era una simple curiosidad, se convierte rápidamente en una obsesión por resolver dicho caso, haciendo que se metan en varios problemas, secretos, y sospechas. La química entre los tres protagonistas es increíble! Hay muy buenas dinámicas entre ellos. Una de las cosas que más me gustaron, fue la muy buena forma de mezclar cosas de comedia, y misterio de una manera bastante fluida. La mayoría de escenas cómicas que protagonizan estos personajes, se integran de manera natural a la trama.. a los momentos de tensión/suspenso que se dan de la propia investigación detectivesca jaja, esta buena combinación logra mantenerte enganchado y entretenido, sin volver las cosas muy pesadas o complejas.. Además, le doy varios puntos positivos porque ha logrado construir muy buenos personajes secundarios, que son muy buenos y cautivadores, al igual que el trío protagonista. Hay extravagancia, varios vecinos excéntricos, cada uno pone de lo suyo para aportar a la trama, algo que disfrute mucho.

I think what has made this series stand out a bit, has been its good way of exploring deep themes, in a subtle and accurate way, very identifiable, enjoyable and not at all overwhelming. In the stories of the main characters, things like loneliness issues, redemption and the drive to be a better person, friendship, and how important - necessary - it is to find purpose in life are addressed. These elements can be seen imparted throughout the story, greatly elevating the experience, and making it more interesting than something typical, like a classic mystery-solving series might be. After watching the first season, I can say that within the genre I mentioned before, it stands out quite a bit, there is good chemistry, the construction of the mystery is great, the humor, and the plot twists are good to see, it grabs you in a very good way

Creo que lo que ha hecho a esta serie destacar un poco, ha sido su buena forma de explorar temas profundos, de una manera sutil y acertada, muy identificable, disfrutable y nada agobiante. En las historias de los protagonistas, se abordan cosas como los problemas de soledad, la redención e impulso de ser mejor persona, la amistad, y lo importante – necesario que es encontrarle un propósito a la vida. Estos elementos se pueden ver impartidos en toda la historia, elevando mucho la experiencia, y volviéndola más interesante que algo típico, como podría ser la clásica serie de resolver misterios. Después de ver la primera temporada, puedo decir que dentro del género que antes les mencione, destaca bastante, hay buena química, la construcción del misterio es genial, el humor, y los giros de guion son buenos de ver, te atrapa de muy buena manera.

My favorite character was undoubtedly Mabel, (to no one's surprise) played by Selena Gomez, her performance was great, very convincing... this has managed to connect with a lot of public in a way that perhaps they would not expect, although the other characters of the trio are also great, these actors demonstrate their mastery in comedy, providing very funny moments, that surely will get more than one laugh, and all this without losing depth in their characters. This series manages to balance in an incredible way very good genres, I always enjoy a good comedy, I certainly recommend this series, surely you will have a very good experience. I give it a rating of 8.5/10. It is an excellent option to enjoy with the family, with your partner, with friends, something chill but entertaining. Mi personaje favorito fue sin duda Mabel, (para sorpresa de nadie) interpretada por Selena Gomez, su interpretación fue genial, muy convincente.. esto ha logrado conectar con mucho público de una manera que quizá no se esperaría, aunque los otros personajes del trío también son geniales, estos actores demuestran su maestría en la comedia, aportando momentos muy graciosos, que seguramente les sacara más de una risa, y todo esto sin perder profundidad en sus personajes. Esta serie logra equilibrar de manera increíble géneros muy buenos, yo siempre disfruto demasiado una buena comedia, sin duda les recomiendo esta serie, seguramente tendrán una muy buena experiencia. Le doy de calificación un 8.5/10. Es una excelente opción para disfrutar en familia, con la pareja, con los amigos, algo tranquilo pero entretenido.
