Good morning, Movies & TV Shows community! I hope you are having a great day. Today I want to tell you about a very good series. It was released a few years ago, maybe some of you have seen it.... It helps a lot to reflect, it transmits you many things, it is raw and realistic like few others, portraying one of the greatest tragedies that have occurred on the planet. This series caught me in large part by the context that when you start watching it, it is good hooking you, from the first episode to the emotional ending ... I want to share my opinion of Chernobyl, released in 2019 and that impacted many at the time.

Buenos días, comunidad de Movies & TV Shows! Espero estén teniendo un excelente día. Hoy les quiero hablar una serie muy buena. Se estrenó hace algunos añitos, puede ser que alguno la haya visto.. Ayuda mucho a reflexionar, te transmite muchas cosas, es cruda y realista como pocas, retratando una de las mayores tragedias que han ocurrido en el planeta. Esta serie me atrapo en gran parte por el contexto que al empezar a verla te muestran, es buena enganchándote, desde su primer episodio hasta el emotivo final.. Les quiero compartir mi opinión de Chernobyl, estrenada en el año 2019 y que impacto a muchos en su momento.

After watching the 5 episodes of this miniseries, produced by HBO, I must say that if you end up touching. I ended up moved, if you are a sensitive person, maybe you manage to escape a little tear. Despite knowing the tragedy that was going to unfold, since this event is something that most people know, you know what is going to end up happening, although it may be that some do not know anything about this accident, it can happen... I remember recommending this series to my friends, and there was one who didn't know anything about the nuclear accident that had happened in real life, he ended up liking it a lot. This great production manages to immerse you completely in the catastrophe that occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986, the way in which the description is developed is shocking, we are shown with more attention to the human consequences that this brought, and this is a great point. Although it shows technical details, it is not the main focus, this series captures the horror and panic that was increasing after the terrible explosion of reactor number 4. We will witness the shock and impact it had on society, the bewilderment of the people, the determination of wanting to know what really happened, and finally we see how this fatally affected the lives of many people, it is shown as it was lived in real life, an unprecedented tragedy.

Después de ver los 5 episodios de esta miniserie, producida por HBO, debo decir que si te termina tocando.. Termine conmovido, si eres una persona sensible, tal vez se te logre escapar una lagrimita. A pesar de conocer la tragedia que se iba a desarrollar, ya que este acontecimiento es algo que la mayoría de las personas conoce, sabes lo que va a terminar pasando, aunque puede ser que alguno no sepa nada sobre este accidente, puede pasar.. Recuerdo recomendar esta serie a mis amigos, y hubo uno que no sabía nada del accidente nuclear que había ocurrido en la vida real, termino gustándole mucho. Esta gran producción logra sumergirte completamente en la catástrofe ocurrida en la central nuclear de Chernobyl, en el año de 1986, la manera en la que se desarrolla la descripción es estremecedora, se nos muestra con mayor atención las consecuencias humanas que esta trajo, y esto es un gran punto. Aunque si muestra detalles técnicos, no es el foco principal, esta serie captura el horror y el pánico que fue aumentando tras la terrible explosión del reactor número 4. Seremos testigos del choque e impacto que tuvo en la sociedad, el desconcierto de la gente, la determinación de querer saber qué ocurrió realmente, y finalmente vemos como esto afecto fatalmente la vida de muchas personas, se muestra tal como se vivió en la vida real, una tragedia sin precedentes.

This series alternates very well between showing the physical damage of the radiation on the firemen, workers, and other local residents... with all the secrecy and concealment of the authorities about what happened... You see how admitting mistakes is not an option, and asking for international help is not an option either, even with all the disaster going on. The plot combines in a good way the personal drama of the affected people, with the political phases that are lived while a catastrophe is happening, it is seen how the tension is increasing chapter by chapter. This production has a great cast, the different characters are interesting and deep, my favorite was the incredible scientist Ulyana, who was a key piece in the series, with great determination to find the truth about what really happened, although her character did not exist in real life, this represents how many scientists helped to discover the truth about this accident. As for the more technical aspects... This miniseries was filmed in a limited range of muted colors, almost monochromatic, this reinforced a lot the feeling of hopelessness.... I loved this touch, I have always said that these details give a lot of quality to an audiovisual production. You can see that they put a lot of work, sometimes there are certain flashes of color as the bright red of the blood, or the vibrant orange of the fire workers suit, this accompanied by an excellent soundtrack, contributes greatly to that sense of doom... very cool.

Esta serie sabe alternar muy bien entre mostrar los daños físicos de la radiación en los bomberos, trabajadores, y demás residentes locales.. con todo el secretismo y ocultamiento de las autoridades sobre lo que paso.. Se ve como admitir los errores no es una opción, y pedir ayuda internacional tampoco, aun con todo el desastre que está transcurriendo. La trama combina de buena manera el drama personal de las personas afectadas, con las fases políticas que se viven mientras se pasa una catástrofe, se ve como la tensión va aumentando capítulo a capítulo. Esta producción cuenta con un genial reparto, los distintos personajes que salen son interesantes y profundos, mi favorita fue la increíble científica Ulyana, que fue una pieza clave en la serie, con mucha determinación en encontrar la verdad sobre lo que realmente paso, aunque su personaje no existiera en la vida real, este representa como muchos científicos ayudaron a descubrir la verdad sobre este accidente. En cuanto a los aspectos más técnicos.. Esta miniserie fue filmada en una gama limitada de colores apagados, casi monocromática, esto reforzó mucho la sensación de desesperanza.. Este toque me encanto, siempre he dicho que estos detalles dan mucha calidad a una producción audiovisual. Se ve que le pusieron mucho trabajo, a veces hay ciertos destellos de color como el rojo vivo de la sangre, o el vibrante naranja del traje de los trabajadores de bomberos, esto acompañado de una excelente banda sonora, contribuye enormemente a esa sensación de fatalidad.. muy genial.

The almost 6 hours of footage of this miniseries can fly by, it is very good to see that realism and tension put in each chapter, and I was super glued watching it. As I said, knowing the outcome, the series manages to make you feel some hope for some of the characters. You can see how they tried to get as close as they could to the real events, and how they wanted to give a lot of focus to all the human repercussions that this tragedy caused. For me, Chernobyl surpasses any drama or fictional catastrophe series on TV, the way it conveys the whole tragedy... it doesn't need unnecessary exaggerations, showers of blood, or big shots of crying crowds... It knows perfectly how to touch your soul. It knows perfectly how to touch your soul, without needing much. Just by listening to the testimonies of those involved, this series was able to make a careful and high quality reconstruction of one of the greatest man-made catastrophes. I think Chernobyl is not an easy series to watch, but I feel that if you give it a chance, you will see how every minute is worth it. It is a history lesson and an incredible reality check, a good reminder of the dangers that human arrogance can unleash... An incredible audiovisual work that will remain as a great testimony of the nuclear horror that was really lived, and how we humans will surely be the cause of our own tragedies... I give it a well-deserved 9.7/10. A miniseries that teaches you what a disgrace is, and all the damage that can be caused by arrogance and lies to protect interests. Not to be missed. Las casi 6 horas que dura el metraje de esta miniserie se te pueden pasar volando, es muy bueno ver ese realismo y tensión puesta en cada capítulo, y me quede súper pegado viéndola. Como les comentaba, ya sabiendo el desenlace, la serie se las arregla para que sientas cierta esperanza por algunos personajes.. Se ve como trataron de acercarse lo más que podían a los hechos reales, y como quisieron dar mucho enfoque a todas las repercusiones humanas que esta tragedia ocasiono. Para mí, Chernobyl supera a cualquier drama o serie de catástrofe de ficción en televisión, la manera en que te transmite toda la tragedia.. no necesita exageraciones innecesarias, lluvias de sangre, o grandes tomas de multitudes llorando.. Sabe perfectamente como tocarte el alma, sin necesitar de mucho. Con solo escuchar los testimonios de los involucrados, esta serie pudo hacer una reconstrucción cuidadosa y de mucha calidad de una de las más grandes catástrofes causadas por el hombre. Creo que Chernobyl no es una serie fácil de ver, pero siento que si le dan una oportunidad, verán como cada minuto vale la pena. Es una lección de historia y un golpe de realidad increíble, un buen recordatorio de los peligros que la arrogancia humana puede desatar.. Una increíble obra audiovisual que quedara como un gran testimonio del horror nuclear que se vivió de verdad, y de como los humanos seguramente seremos los causantes de nuestras propias tragedias.. Le doy un merecidísimo 9.7/10. Una miniserie que te enseña lo que es una desgracia, y todo el daño que puede ocasionar la arrogancia y las mentiras para proteger intereses. Imperdible.
