Hello everyone, dear community of The Anime Realm, I hope you are feeling great today... this time I want to share with you a new review with my opinions of the anime Violet Evergarden.... Honestly, when I started watching this anime a few years ago, I didn't know what to expect, I was a bit undecided whether to start it or not, the promotional images were really impressive... they had a very detailed animation and a color palette that immediately captured me. But I was a little worried that the narrative, the story, wouldn't live up to its visual beauty.. but I'm happy to say that this anime is much more than a pretty facade with no soul. It is a work of art that deeply touches the emotions of every viewer who watches it, the story revolves around Violet, a young girl who in her early years was used as a weapon of war.. until a few years ago, it was a new and interesting premise. That's what it seemed to me, her ability to follow orders and her lack of emotions made her a perfect machine on the battlefield.

But, obviously, she was deprived of a normal childhood, we see how General Gilbert tries to humanize her in a certain way, although the circumstances of the war make it almost impossible.... This would be the story with which this interesting series would start... I think from the beginning, the first few episodes set a very human tone. This anime is not about unbridled action, in case that was what you were expecting, on the contrary, they present Violet in a situation where she has lost some limbs, due to the battle.. they leave this “weapon” with many unanswered questions to which, she will have to make sense of on her own.. The war is over and Violet has to start a new stage of her life.. she has to start a new journey to discover what it means to be human, what emotions are and above all what mean some important words that her general told her some time ago...

Hola a todos, querida comunidad de The Anime Realm, espero que se encuentren genial en el día de hoy.. en esta ocasión les quiero compartir una nueva reseña con mis opiniones del anime Violet Evergarden.. Honestamente, cuando empecé a ver este anime hace algunos años, no sabía que esperar, estaba un poco indeciso si comenzarlo o no, las imágenes promocionales eran realmente impresionantes... tenían una animación muy detallada y una paleta de colores que inmediatamente me capturó. Pero me preocupaba un poco que la narrativa, la historia, no estuviera a la altura de su belleza visual.. pero me alegra decir que este anime es mucho más que una fachada bonita sin alma. Es una obra de arte que toca profundamente las emociones de cada espectador que la ve, la historia gira en torno a Violet, una joven que en sus primeros años de vida fue utilizada como un arma de guerra.. hasta hace algunos años, era una premisa nueva e interesante. Eso es lo que a mí me pareció, su capacidad de seguir órdenes y su falta de emociones la convirtieron en una máquina perfecta en el campo de batalla.

Pero, obviamente la privaron de una infancia normal, vemos como el general Gilbert intenta humanizarla de cierta manera, aunque las circunstancias de la guerra lo hacen casi imposible.. Esta sería la historia con la que partiría esta interesante serie.. creo que desde el principio, los primeros episodios establecen un tono muy humano. Este anime no trata de acción desenfrenada, por si eso era lo que esperaban, al contrario, presentan a Violet en una situación en la que ha perdido algunas extremidades, debido a la batalla.. dejan a esta "arma" con muchas preguntas sin respuestas a las cuales, ella tendrá que darle sentido por sí misma.. La guerra ha acabado y Violet tiene que empezar una nueva etapa de su vida.. tiene que comenzar un nuevo viaje para descubrir lo que significa ser humano, lo que son las emociones y sobre todo lo que significan algunas palabras importantes que su general le dijo hace algún tiempo..

Throughout the episodes we see how Violet begins to get used to her new mechanical arms and tries to find a purpose in a world without war. She is fortunately taken in by the Evergarden family and subsequently starts a new job, as they hire her as an Auto Memory Doll. These are sort of secretaries who write letters so that people who can't express themselves properly can get their thoughts and feelings across correctly to the people they are addressing... this job allows our protagonist to interact much more with a wide variety of people.

Each one has their own specific story and pain, which slowly helps her discover what it means to be human and begin to understand certain emotions. One of the things I was most impressed and liked about this series is how the whole development of Violet's character is handled, at the beginning she is an almost robotic girl, with total naivety and has no understanding of what love, sadness or joy is, but as the series progresses we see how these experiences transform her. . it is a slow and painstaking process, it is obviously necessary that this change takes place at realistic rates, as a person who has had no contact beyond a battlefield clearly cannot change overnight. It is precisely this that makes the whole story realistic and moving...each episode seems to be a piece of a much larger puzzle that culminates in an ending that I found very beautiful.

A lo largo de los episodios veremos como Violet empieza a acostumbrarse a sus nuevos brazos mecánicos y trata de encontrar un propósito en un mundo sin guerra.. Ella es afortunadamente acogida por la familia Evergarden y posteriormente comienza un nuevo trabajo, ya que la contratan como una: Auto Memory Doll. Estas son una especie de secretarias que escriben cartas para que las personas que no puedan expresarse adecuadamente puedan hacer llegar sus pensamientos y sentimientos de manera correcta a las personas a las que se dirigen.. este trabajo le permite a nuestra protagonista interactuar mucho más con una gran variedad de personas.

Cada una tiene su propia historia y dolor específico, lo que poco a poco ayuda a descubrir lo que significa ser humano y empieza a entender ciertas emociones. Una de las cosas que más me impresionó y me gustó de esta serie es cómo se maneja todo el desarrollo del personaje de Violet, al principio ella es una chica casi robótica, con una total ingenuidad y no tiene ninguna comprensión sobre lo que es el amor, la tristeza o la alegría, pero a medida que avanza la serie vemos cómo estas experiencias la transforman.. es un proceso lento y meticuloso, es obviamente necesario que este cambio se dé a ritmos realistas, ya que una persona que no ha tenido ningún tipo de contacto más allá de un campo de batalla claramente no puede cambiar de un día para el otro. Es justamente esto lo que hace que toda la historia sea realista y conmovedora.. cada episodio parece ser una pieza de un rompecabezas mucho más grande que culmina con un final que me pareció muy hermoso.

As for the animation, I think Kyoto Animation studio outdoes itself with this production...the attention to detail is simply amazing, from the breathtaking landscapes to the small expressions. Everything is designed to completely immerse you in a very colorful, unique world that is sure to appeal to many people. While the animation is beautiful, one way it really stands out is how it intertwines with the story and allows you to complement everything about the characters... it's not just pretty backgrounds and that's it, but each scene is carefully designed to evoke certain emotions, be it sadness, hope, among others...

I think it is very nice to see productions in which the goal is to transport you to new places and allow you to share with the protagonists certain unique experiences... seeing it on a big screen is simply amazing. The music is another aspect that deserves a special mention, I think the soundtrack perfectly complements the melancholic tone of the series. All the soft and sometimes sad melodies that accompanied Violet on her journey I found beautiful...I really enjoy those melodies that can stay with you even when the series is over.

Despite the many positives this series has, I don't consider it perfect, some episodes can be a bit slow for my taste and there are times when the plot seems to go around in circles a lot, I feel that although Violet's story is powerful, some of the subplots with the secondary characters don't have the same impact and although they try to give her more relevance than necessary, it feels a bit forced because of this itself. However, these are really minor problems... all the subplots are developed for a reason and are there to make Violet understand a certain emotion or a certain situation. So I think overall it's not all bad.

En cuanto a la animación, creo que el estudio Kyoto Animation se supera a sí mismo con esta producción.. la atención a los detalles es simplemente increíble, desde los paisajes impresionantes hasta las pequeñas expresiones. Todo está diseñado para sumergirte completamente en un mundo muy colorido, único, que seguramente atraerá a muchas personas. Aunque la animación es hermosa, realmente una forma en la que destaca es como se entrelaza con la historia y permite complementar todo lo relacionado con los personajes.. no es simplemente fondos bonitos y ya, sino que cada escena está cuidadosamente diseñada para evocar ciertas emociones, ya sea tristeza, esperanza, entre otras..

Creo que es muy bonito ver producciones en las que el objetivo es transportarte a nuevos lugares y permitirte compartir con los protagonistas ciertas experiencias únicas.. verla en una pantalla grande es simplemente increíble. La música es otro aspecto que merece una mención especial, considero que la banda sonora complementa perfectamente el tono melancólico de la serie. Todas las melodías suaves y a veces tristes que acompañaron a Violet en su viaje me parecieron hermosas.. realmente disfruto de aquellas melodías que pueden quedarse contigo incluso cuando la serie ha terminado.

A pesar de los muchos aspectos positivos que tiene esta serie, no la considero perfecta, algunos episodios pueden ser un poco lentos para mi gusto y hay momentos en los que la trama parece dar muchas vueltas en círculos, siento que aunque la historia de Violet es poderosa, algunas de las subtramas con los personajes secundarios no tienen el mismo impacto y aunque tratan de darle más relevancia de lo necesario, se siente un poco forzado por esto mismo. Sin embargo, son problemas realmente menores.. todas las subtramas se desarrollan por algo y están ahí para hacer a Violet entender cierta emoción o cierta situación. Así que creo que en conjunto no está del todo mal.

One point I would also like to highlight about this anime is its setting... it is clearly inspired by late 19th century Europe, which gives it a touch of realism that I personally loved, mainly the costumes and architecture. All of this allows the viewer to get into a mix of old and new styles, which adds an extra layer of fascination to a series that manages to draw you in easily. I found all the world building to be very interesting...it's unique, expansive, and beautiful. Violet Evergarden is a series that not only looks spectacular, but also tells a deep and emotional story. It's quite a journey through the complications of human emotions...and we see all of this through the eyes of a protagonist who is learning what it means to actually be a human or alive.

While not perfect, her flaws are easily forgivable when you consider all the emotional impact she has.... I highly recommend this anime to anyone looking for a series that will not only entertain you, but also move you and make you think. It's a story about grief, loss, love, and understanding yourself a little more.. from this series comes several movies that continue the story of our protagonist. Although I haven't seen them all, I think that if you end up with a feeling that there is still a lot left to tell, well, don't panic, you can go see the movies because they continue this story in a very interesting way.

Un punto que también me gustaría destacar de este anime es su ambientación.. está claramente inspirado en la Europa de finales del siglo XIX, lo que le da un toque de realismo que a mí personalmente me encantó, principalmente los trajes y la arquitectura. Todo esto permite al espectador adentrarse a una mezcla de estilos antigua con nuevo, lo que añade una capa adicional de fascinación a una serie que logra atraerte fácilmente. Toda la construcción del mundo me pareció muy interesante.. es único, expansivo, y hermoso. Violet Evergarden es una serie que no solo se ve espectacular, sino que también cuenta una historia profunda y emotiva. Es todo un viaje a través de las complicaciones de las emociones humanas.. y vemos todo esto a través de los ojos de una protagonista que está aprendiendo lo que significa ser realmente un humana o estar viva.

Aunque no es perfecta, sus defectos son fácilmente perdonables cuando consideras todo el impacto emocional que tiene.. Recomiendo mucho este anime a cualquier persona que busque una serie que no solo te entretenga, sino que también te conmueva y te haga reflexionar. Es una historia sobre el dolor, la pérdida, el amor, y entenderse un poco más a uno mismo.. de esta serie se desprenden varias películas que continúan la historia de nuestra protagonista. Aunque no las he visto todas, considero que si acaban con una sensación de que aún falta mucho por contar, pues bueno, no se asusten, pueden irse a ver las películas porque continúan esta historia de manera muy interesante.
