The plot revolves around Satoru, a man of about 29 years old, who discovers one day that he has a mysterious ability, he can travel to the past to avoid accidents... something he has a hard time controlling... What he doesn't know is that this power will help him, but at the same time it will bring a lot of complications to his life...

Este increíble thriller psicológico con elementos de ciencia ficción y fantasía es sin duda una tremenda joya. Esta serie es capaz de atraparte desde el primer episodio, y es toda una montaña rusa de sentimientos encontrados.. La trama gira en torno a Satoru, un hombre de unos 29 años aproximadamente, quien descubre un día que tiene una misteriosa habilidad, puede viajar al pasado para evitar accidentes.. algo que le cuesta mucha trabajo controlar.. Lo que no sabe es que este poder lo ayudara, pero a la vez le traerá un sinfín de complicaciones a su vida..

Erased or also known as "Boku Dake ga Inai Machi" is an anime that completely blew me away when I saw it years ago, I remember finding it when I thought most anime were all about fighting, or explosive stuff with no narrative power at all. This anime was a punch in the face that showed me how incredibly serious and heartfelt these kinds of works can be. With only 12 episodes, it manages to tell you a deeply moving story... it grabs you from the first episode and makes you want to watch the next one at once, although the initial premise of time travel may seem complicated or typical, but this anime gives it a rather unique touch, as time travel is not the main focus in this story.

Unfortunately, for our protagonist, he is unconsciously transported 15 years in the past... to the time when he was in elementary school... this is due to a psychological impact he had when he saw something severely serious happen to his mother. So Satoru must solve this mystery, and he will also have to solve a serious case of kidnappings and murders that have been occurring in his childhood. It may sound difficult to understand, but it is not, the anime explains it in a way that you understand it perfectly, it develops a super mature, logical and above all emotional story, it easily touches your heart. At no time does it feel like the script is forced, the plot moves forward in an organic way, with everything having a reason to be in this story.

Erased o también conocido como “Boku Dake ga Inai Machi" es un anime que me dejo completamente maravillado cuando lo vi hace años, recuerdo encontrarlo cuando pensaba que la mayoría de animes eran todos de peleas, o de cosas explosivas sin nada de poder narrativo. Este anime fue un golpe en la cara que me demostró lo increíblemente serias y sentimentales pueden llegar a ser este tipo de obras. Con solo 12 episodios, te logra contar una historia profundamente conmovedora.. te atrapa desde el primer capítulo y te hace querer ver el siguiente de una vez, aunque la premisa inicial de viaje en el tiempo te puede parecer complicada o típica, pero este anime le da un toque bastante único, ya que el viaje en el tiempo no es lo foco principal en esta historia.

Lastimosamente, para nuestro protagonista, es transportado inconscientemente 15 años en el pasado.. a la época en la que estaba en la primaria.. esto se debe a un impacto psicológico que tuvo al ver que le paso algo severamente grave a su madre. Por lo que Satoru deberá resolver este misterio, además tendrá que resolver un caso grave de secuestros y asesinatos que han estado ocurriendo en su infancia. Puede sonar difícil de entender, pero no es así, el anime te lo explica de una manera en la que lo entiendes perfectamente, se desarrolla una historia supermadura, lógica y sobre todo emotiva, te llega fácilmente al corazón. En ningún momento se siente como si el guion fuera forzado, la trama avanza de manera orgánica, con todo teniendo una razón de ser en esta historia.

Far beyond the initial premise that may seem strange, Erased is a drama about the human bonds we have as people, friendship, family and lost opportunities over time. It is very touching to see all the relationships that our protagonist is forming, watching him relate to his mother, to his classmates, and especially to the lonely girl Hinazuki, who doesn't have many friends, and who sadly ends up being one of the killer's victims...

Everything is written in a very good way, and easy to understand for the viewer. This anime also exposes with much rawness and realism the problems of family violence, something more typical and sad... it shows us the horrible school bullying, and the indifference of society before the alarming situations that affect others. These things leave you thinking and make you reflect on many situations or problems that can happen in real life.

Mucho más allá de la premisa inicial que puede parecer extraña, Erased es un drama sobre los lazos humanos que tenemos como personas, la amistad, la familia y las oportunidades perdidas con el tiempo. Es muy conmovedor ver todas las relaciones que va formando nuestro protagonista, verlo relacionarse con su madre, con sus compañeros de clase, y especialmente con la niña solitaria Hinazuki, quien no tiene muchos amigos, y que tristemente termina siendo una de las víctimas del asesino..

Todo está escrito de una manera muy buena, y fácil de entender para el espectador. Este anime también expone con mucha crudeza y realismo los problemas de violencia familiar, algo más típico y triste.. nos muestra el horrible acoso escolar, y la indiferencia de la sociedad antes las situaciones alarmantes que afectan a los demás. Estas cosas te dejan pensando y te hacen reflexionar sobre muchas situaciones o problemas que pueden pasar en la vida real.

On the other hand, the great mystery that revolves around the identity of the murderer, can be a little predictable, of course, depending on how much you analyze the arguments presented in the story, you can expect it... or maybe not, maybe it will surprise you, it is well executed. Those responsible knew how to present all the information very well, through each chapter, this serves to keep that uncertainty... And the denouement, uff... far from disappointing, it is very satisfying to see how the loose ends are tied up and how the truth is reached.

Personally, one of my favorite moments was this ending, when Satoru confronts the villain! It's full of drama, and a lot of interesting reflections. Erased is one of those few series that stays in your head for a long time... the way it doesn't let you go until you finish it is great, how you get hooked. After you finish it, you will surely recommend it a lot, it could easily be a normal TV series, or a movie, it doesn't have that Japanese trademark that identifies anime, it's unique in that style.

Por otro lado, el gran misterio que gira en torno a la identidad del asesino, puede ser un poco predecible, claro, dependiendo lo mucho que analices los argumentos que se presentan en la historia, puedes esperarlo.. como quizá no, tal vez te sorprenda, está bien ejecutado. Los responsables supieron presentar toda la información muy bien, a través de cada capítulo, esto sirve para mantener esa incertidumbre.. Y el desenlace, uff.. lejos de decepcionar, resulta muy satisfactorio ver como se atan los cabos sueltos y como se llega a la verdad.

Personalmente, de mis momentos favoritos fue este final, cuando Satoru confronta al villano! Está lleno de dramatismo, y muchas reflexiones interesantes. Erased es de esas pocas series que se quedan en tu cabeza por mucho tiempo.. la manera en la que no te deja ir hasta que lo terminas es genial, como te enganchas. Luego de que la terminas, seguro la recomendaras mucho, podría ser fácilmente una serie de televisión normal, o una película, no tiene esa marca japonesa que identifica a los animes, es única en ese estilo.

The way in which the characters of this anime are characterized is very good, from the main characters to the secondary ones, it is easy to get attached to them. Without a doubt Satoru's mother is one of the best representations of an incredible mother in anime, all the love and understanding she gives off towards her son, and her loved ones is very nice. The animation in general is good, it fulfills its purpose, and there are some key points where you can see that they put effort, mostly in the most key scenes for the story. It's amazing how a single scene can transmit so many things, without the need of super long texts, a simple shot can describe just what is needed and make you feel moved.

The soundtrack is also incredible, its opening is one of the best I've ever heard, it's performed by the Asian band called: Asian Kung-Fu Generation, known for making very good openings and endings for the anime world. I give this great anime a strong rating of: 9.5/10. It is a gem, drama and suspense lovers will love it.... It is a story that makes you reflect on issues such as family ties, the value of kindness, compassion, and that thin line that separates our lives from a tragedy. Although I consider that it has its things that I didn't quite like, I would have liked to see more development - control in Satoru's power, and time travel as such...

Also if I were the author, I would change the love outcome of the ending haha. Anyway, these are minor details, they don't take away from how amazing this series is, it has a lot of quality in all the aspects I mentioned, simply not to be missed. La manera en la que los personajes de este anime están caracterizados es muy buena, desde los principales, hasta los secundarios, es fácil encariñarte con ellos. Sin duda la madre de Satoru es de las mejores representaciones de una increíble madre dentro del anime, todo el amor y comprensión que desprende hacia su hijo, y sus seres queridos es muy lindo. La animación en general es buena, cumple con su objetivo, y hay algunos puntos clave donde se ve que le pusieron esfuerzo, mayormente en las escenas más claves para la historia. Es increíble como una sola escena, puede transmitirte tantas cosas.. sin necesidad de textos súper largos, una toma simple puede describir justamente lo necesario y hacerte emocionar.

La banda sonora también es increíble, su opening es de los mejores que he escuchado, es interpretado por la banda asiatica llamada: Asian Kung-Fu Generation, conocida por hacer unos muy buenos openings y endings para el mundo del anime. Le doy a este gran anime, una fuerte calificación de: 9.5/10. Es una joya, a los amantes del drama y suspenso les va a encantar.. Es una historia que te hace reflexionar sobre temas como los lazos familiares, el valor de la bondad, la compasión, y esa delgada línea que separa nuestras vidas de una tragedia. Aunque considero que tiene sus cosas que no me gustaron del todo, me fuera gustado ver más desarrollo - control en el poder de Satoru, y en los viajes en el tiempo como tal..

También si fuera sido el autor, cambiaría el resultado amoroso del final jaja. En fin, estos son detalles menores, no quitan lo increíble que está serie, tiene mucha calidad en todos los aspectos que le mencione, simplemente imperdible.
