Hola amigos de #PlantPower, espero estén pasando un día estupendo. He preparado mi primera Calabaza rellena, antes de pertenecer a hive, la calabaza era solo para cremas y tortas jejeje, pero ahora es un gran abanico de opciones a la hora de prepararla.

Unos amigos nos regalaron varias calabazas y mi hija @tsunsica y yo decidimos ponernos creativas, pero ella me supera jejeje.

Acá tomé una fotografía para mostrarles la cantidad de calabazas y sus diversos tamaños, nos regalaron otras, pero mi esposo disidió darle a un vecino y otras a mi mamá, porque aunque preparemos diversos platos, pues son muchas y es mejor compartir.

Here I took a picture to show you the amount of pumpkins and their different sizes, they gave us others, but my husband decided to give them to a neighbor and others to my mom, because even though we prepare different dishes, there are many and it is better to share.

  • 1 calabaza pequeña
  • 250 g de maíz tierno
  • 1 zanahoria
  • 1 rama de ajo porro
  • 1 rama de apio españa
  • 1/2 pimentón
  • 1 cebolla mediana
  • 2 ajíes dulces
  • 6 dientes de ajo
  • 3 cucharadas de azúcar
  • 2 cucharadas de sal
  • 1 cucharadita de pimienta
  • 1 cucharadita de comino
  • 3 cucharadas de aceite
  • 1 vaso de agua
  • 1 small pumpkin
  • 250 g baby corn
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 stick of garlic
  • 1 stick of celery
  • 1/2 paprika
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 sweet peppers
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 3 spoonfuls of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 glass of water


Iniciamos cortando un poco menos de la mitad de la calabaza, sacamos las semillas, sazonamos con un poco de sal, pimienta y comino, la llevamos al horno hasta que se ablande.

We start by cutting a little less than half of the pumpkin, remove the seeds, season with a little salt, pepper and cumin, take it to the oven until it softens.


Mientas ella se ablanda, preparamos un sofrito que luego mezclaremos con el maíz molido.

En un sartén agregamos aceite, cebolla, zanahoria, pimentón, ají, apio españa y el ajo, los salteamos y agregamos un poquito de sal.

In a frying pan add oil, onion, carrot, paprika, chili, celery and garlic, sauté and add a little salt.


Lo último que se hace es moler el maíz, porque si tardamos en utilizarlo se puede poner amargo.

Procedemos a molerlo, le colocamos el azúcar, un poquito de sal, pimienta, comino y si es necesario agregamos agua, yo le coloque porque estaba muy seco el maíz. Luego agregamos el sofrito, mezclamos todo muy bien, rectificamos la sal y rellenamos la calabaza, la llevamos nuevamente al horno.

En este paso va a tardar media hora o más, para que garanticemos que está bien cocida la mezcla.

The last thing to do is to grind the corn, because if we take too long to use it, it can become bitter.

We proceed to grind it, add the sugar, a little salt, pepper, cumin and if necessary add water, I added water because the corn was very dry. Then add the sofrito, mix everything very well, correct the salt and fill the pumpkin, take it back to the oven.

This step will take half an hour or more, to ensure that the mixture is well cooked.


Esta calabaza se llevó 40 minutos a fuego medio bajo y aquí se las muestro, hermosa y divina, yo nunca había comido y menos preparado calabaza rellena, queda muy sabrosa y una forma muy bonita a la hora de servir.
