Still working on my project - My 5 minutes a day #20
ICSP's really interesting
Shoutout to CompileIdeas and Pixabay.com
As I keep working on yesterday's project, I figure out there are a lot of interesting things that come with ICSP Programming. First of all, to program old PIC models, we have to take the voltage of these devices way above their normal operation tension, which is 5V, to 12-13.5V
As regards the configuration of the pins, this becomes a rather easy task, where we have to take into account that we'll have to dedicate two pins: One for the programming clock and the other for the programming data.
However, since the limitation is being able to program a PIC using only Arduino, I'll have to make this development board make different functions. From emitting PWM to a booster supply to increase 5V to the required 13V to giving the instructions to activate/deactivate this programming voltage and obviously, programming, It will be a really fun project.
Tomorrow I'll update you on my progress. For now, there's work to be done.
