Sometimes you just have to move - My 5 minutes a day #62
There's some right in "Just Do It"

Like every human being, I sometimes have those days where the brain provides all the reasons to do something.
- "How bad would it be to take a day off?"
- "No one will read it, better try tomorrow"
- "It may not work out"
These are all questions that arise from time to time. And as convincing as these arguments may sound, they are a trap. You see, there's a voice inside our head that gets louder whenever we're pursuing something worthwhile.
What is this voice?
The voice of procrastination, low self-esteem or simply "The Resistance", as the author Steven Pressfield defines it. How can we get rid of this voice?
We cannot, the battle will always be eternal, we will find stones on the road in the form of bad thoughts.
However, the strategy is to recognize when it speaks to us and when we should unplug the thought cord and just move without thinking. In this way we can:
- Start faster.
- Practice discipline.
- Not regret at the end of the day for something we didn't do.
This is why, if you ever face these thoughts, don't think and just do it. Many times, that will be the difference between success and failure in your life.
