Within every human being there is even a modicum of creativity, that force that allows us to manifest the most beautiful things ever seen.

However, this same force can do a 180 and be used for nefarious things: the destruction of others or yourself. These two sides of the coin are often seen in a pronounced way in individuals with great creative abilities.

As an example of this we can look at Pablo Picasso, one of, if not the most influential artist in the medium of painting, who was a prolific artist who led the way in the fields of primitivism, surrealism and cubism.

However, his shadow was of equal size. Women who were with him can describe his treatment of the opposite sex as "misogynistic," where according to Marina Picasso's memoir:

"He submitted them to his animal sexuality, tamed them, bewitched them, ingested them, and crushed them onto his canvas. After he had spent many nights extracting their essence, once they were bled dry, he would dispose of them."

Although it would be easy to categorize Picasso as a "Misogynist", humans are not beings that can be identified with black and white terms, everyone can create and destroy with the same beauty.

From the same center where additions come from came the Mona Lisa, the difference? Most of the efforts are focused on escapism and the search for pleasures, which in the end ends up being a punishment for the creators.

You see, a big cause for the feeling of hate and emptiness we feel when we watch social media with no purpose or spend hours playing video games comes from that creative part of us that screams to bring a creation into the world.

So, how to calm it down?

By creating. It doesn't have to be a masterpiece or even have to be done well. Just create something, a product of your effort, tears and vision into something tangible. It is only in this way, that you will feel true satisfaction.

That said, I hope this information has helped and that you can reconnect with that part of you that wants to see you grow through your creative abilities.

Thanks for your support and good luck!
