I know, finding what you want to do in life is difficult and can change faces throughout your life. However, there is a little tip that can guide you in the right direction:

  • See how you can help others and make the world a better place.

You see, countless business owners and artists are guided by the same precept: Bring joy to other faces, no matter how few they may be. A noble purpose that allows them to get up in the morning and put in the hours of work.

However, a selfish purpose like “Wanting to be happy” crumbles under pressure. On those days when you just don't feel well, you'll put your pencil or headphones aside and throw in the towel.

This is why the more legitimate reasons we add to do our work, the more likely we will be successful at it, and what better reason than to help others.

It doesn't have to be super ambitious, because:

  • A barber or stylist may seek to improve a person's self-image with each cut.
  • A water filter seller may seek to improve the quality of life and long-term health of their customers.
  • A graphic designer may seek to attract the attention of thousands of people to a great product with a logo.

Every profession and every field has something to offer the world, and recognizing this may be what we need to motivate ourselves. After all, whatever our job is, as long as we do it well, we will make the world a better place, even if it is just 1%.

Thank you for your support and good luck!
