↑This was last night, video taken with my phone.
This critter really seemed tame, totally unafraid of me or my cat↑
↓This was a couple of years ago↓

So these critters are coming in thru the pet door.
I MUST leave that open if I don't want to have to clean up cat poop. His Majesty has never used the litterbox as an adult, and I would really prefer to never have to clean poop from it again.
I know not what I'm going to do with this now.

One of my FB friends said that "it wants to be your pet" while another (this time a family member) warned that they carry rabies and may not seem to be symptomatic, they can still spread it.

I don't need another critter interupting my sleep right now. What should I do about this I wonder?
Thanks @ironshield

Imposting on other social media, an app called neighborhood that connects the people that live around me, i asked about this and showed the video, I asked the same question.
She stated that it is illegal in georgia to even have a raccoon as a pet and and that if I called animal services and they could catch it they would euthanize it

Hi Jerry.
We had one 2 years ago that came regularly to eat my cats food.
Same situation, entered through cat door.
Be prepared, this one may continue to come and will tell its friends. Be careful though, it may seem friendly but it is likely a wild raccoon that is just used to people and pets.
They pack a serious bite and can do bad damage to your cat if they were to get into it.
We eventually had to scare Luna (the raccoon) away so she would stop coming inside our home.
They are too cute but still dangerous.

Oh dear, pet doors can be quite the hazard when it comes to cheeky wildlife. I have no idea how you are going to deal with this dilemma! Good luck!
