A redux of my veggie garden, for some winter veggies
↑Seeds I've had for several weeks, that really should be in the ground already.
To Recap:
↑This was year two. I did no major modifications until this year (year 4)
I doubled the length of the garden for this past spring/summer, and now I've pulled all but the poblano and jalopena peppers
I'd been spraying all the bloody crepe myrtles that were coming up everywhere, so after pulling everything and cutting those things down, I tilled, then covered it all with landscape fabric, THEN put new fresh soil over the top. I hope that will smother the hell out of those things.
I spent the larger part of the early afternoon getting my feet and legs wet, redoing the irrigation system
There remains quite a bit of tweaking to get it right, but I really need to get some seeds in the ground while it is still warm enough to get them to germinate.
However, I DID go ahead with more cabbage plants, "Bonnies Best", '45 day cabbage'(what I had last year that did so well) and Red Cabbage
I'm calling the far end of the garden plot "Cabbage Corner" ha ha
Or "Cabbage Cat Corner"

I can't imagine living where you can plant a garden in October! A few people around here build "hoop houses" and go to great lengths to grow a few vegetables year round, but that's more work that we can handle at our age.
This will be my first time trying, I will keep everyone updated
