Family bonding at Kynel Carnival
Our Barangay, Barangay Cannery Site is celebrating Pinyahan Festival (Pineapple Festival) from July 31-September 01, 2023. Pineapple is one of the main fruit that our Barangay has because one of the largest pineapple company in the country, DOLE Philippines Inc. is located here in our Barangay.
Most people are working at Dole even me when I was still working and my husband until this very time. Dole main product here is the pineapple thats why we are having this kind of festival.
Last July 31, we attended it's opening and witness the fireworks display. We look around and watch other people enjoying on different rides. We went there just to witness the fireworks display because we don't have budget for rides.
I capture and get a video of some ride especially the Vikings and posted it in my social media account with this caption, "I don't want to ride this one but if someone will sponsor me, maybe I will try." My brother saw that and said he will sponsor for my ticket. I felt happy and at the same time was afraid, lol.
One night the whole family decided to have some bond, some fun and some quality time together by visiting the carnival. Imagine we are all 12 when we visit the carnival.
The carnival has a 10.00 or $0.2 entrance fee but fortunately the wife of my cousin was there in the ticket booth and let us in for FREE. We are so grateful for her kindness and generosity.
We went straight to the ferris wheel and the ticket for ferris wheel cost 50.00 or $1. Eight of us (me, my husband, my son, my sister and her two children, my brother and his girlfriend) are eager to try it. My brother convinced our mother to try it again but she really said no. So, only the eight of us rode the ferris wheel.
At first my son is so excited but when the wheel move continuously he keeps on shouting please stop! He even convince us (I and his father) to shout the same when we are near the personnel waiting and just looking at us at the bottom. We encouraged him to shout if he want to released the uneasiness he felt.
When we got out, I asked him how was his experience? He said, its okay. I asked him why he keep on shouting please stop? He said he felt something in his stomach and he felt he can't move, lol. When I asked him if he want to ride it again, he definitely said yes, lol, what a courage!
We then went to the Vikings ride which at first I call it a big hammock. We just enjoy watching others riding it and we smile as they shout and laugh at their actions and expression.
I forgot the name of this game where you will pay 20.00 or $0.4 to play. My son really wanted to shoot some using a toy gun and his father grant his request. They shoot only three and have two junk foods and one lollipop as a price. If you will buy it only cost 3.00 or $0.06 but the happiness of the child and his experience matters the most.
Next is the dragon chasers and ticket cost 50.00 or $1. This ride is good for children. We didn't ride on it because last year our son already tried this.
Next is this kiddie ride and the ticket also cost 50.00 or $1. My son and his cousin enjoyed riding this and they don't want to go down after the time ended, lol.
The dragon wagon coaster looks so calm at first but at the middle of the ride, oh it's so fast. No one of us tried it.
The jumping horse is selling a ticket of 3 for 20.00 if I am not mistaken. Since we visited there a little early, no one played when I took this picture but later on, it became full of people and you can won anything you want you see in the display. Most prizes are plastic wares and kitchen wares.
Spider ride also cost 50.00 or $1 per ticket. As I looked at it, it feels so scary because aside it is swinging to and fro, it will also rotate. We just enjoyed watching others riding on it.
There are a lot more of games there but I haven't had the chance to take picture of them all as we are enjoying watching other people having fun on different games and rides.
Before we go out in the carnival, we go back to vikings again and we thought many times if we will ride on it or not until the three of us decided to try and experience it.
My brother who is our youngest will just accompany us (me and my sister) into it.
We had the courage to have some picture before the ride begins.
I really wanted to have video of our ride but I am afraid that I cannot make it and my phone might fall so, I decided to keep my phone. My brother do the video and oh we saw how was we look like while the ride is on going.
I felt so scared especially when the swing is on its peak, the most strong one. You cannot really stop yourself from screaming because if you won't shout, it feels you cannot breath, lol. I am not really find of screaming but I really did. At first my mouth just open so big and voice coming out until I learned how to scream along, lol.
It was a scary yet a great experience. I don't know if I will try it again, lol.
It was a night full of fun for the whole family. We enjoyed watching others riding the Vikings and laugh at them as some can't walk straight after the ride, lol and everyone shares different fun experience.
We go out from the carnival and walk around the plaza.
In front of the Barangay hall, there is a film viewing but honest the movie is not clear as the screen is facing the lights from the post.
We also saw different item for sale like these colorful balloons.
We ended that family bonding that night by eating some burger and enjoying some mango shake. We are really grateful for my brother who sponsored the foods and the rides that night.
It was indeed a night full of fun, full of joy and laughter. It is a great family bonding at Kynel Carnival.
All photos are mine.
Have you tried riding on different rides on a carnival too? How was the experience?
This is also my participation for @dswigle #marketfriday.
I wish that I will also have someone in the park ticket's cabin who knows me and will allow me to go inside with fee. 😀
Hehehe we are just fortunate enough that my cousin's wife knew me too.

He is indeed happy at that time even he felt scared during a ferris wheel ride but still want to try again next time, hehehe
I see you were all having a great time. What a great day with fam sis. I want to ride in the Ferris wheel, hehe. But my worst experience was in an Octopus and I swear to myself I will not ride again. hehe
I never tried octopus sis, parang di ko talaga kaya sa Isang tingin pa lang hehehehe.
