Another life blossom

Thank you Lord for my life and the life of our baby #2.

Giving birth differ from one mother to another. We have different experiences, different struggles yet we have one prayer, to let the baby see the world healthy and safe.

I undergo CS operation on my first child, suffered from eclampsia, had a high blood pressure and became critical after the operation. This experience made me afraid to be pregnant again but as time goes by, after almost 7 years, we wanted to have another baby so that our son would have a sibling.

After more than a year of hoping to be pregnant again, I became pregnant and I hope to experience a normal delivery of a baby. I ask my OB if their is a chance that I can give birth through normal delivery, she said their is if my blood pressure won't go high again and if my baby is small.

I exercised, I limit my food, I took every medicine and vitamins that my OB gave but during the last ultrasound before I gave birth, the estimated weight of the baby is 3400 grams. So, my OB advised that I should go for CS again.

I went to the hospital and ask for a schedule. My expected delivery date is November 12, 2024 and the hospital scheduled me for CS on November 11, 2024 nine in the morning.

SCHEDULED OPERATION

The nurses prepared everything for my operation and so do I. I took a bath before the operation thinking that I cannot take a bath after operation. The baby's needs are prepared as well as all the things needed for my operation.

I was brought to the operating room before the scheduled operation. I came at the operating room at 8:37 in the morning (I saw it clearly because their is a big wall clock in front of the operating table). Before they entered me at the operating room, they removed my gown as well as my diaper. In short, I don't have anything except the cloth that they used to cover my body. I wonder why the nurse in the ward told me to wear diaper while before entering the operating room they will remove it. What's the purpose, right?

The anesthesiologist talked to me while we are waiting for the doctor who will do the operation. She always checked on me if I am okay or not.

The time passed, 9 am came but the doctor didn't arrived yet. I felt so cold, two Aircon is facing toward me. When the anesthesiologist checked on me again, I told her that I felt so cold. She then instructed to adjust the temperature but still I felt so cold.

9 am is the schedule of my operation but the doctor came at 9:30 in the morning. I don't know her reason but in my mind, why they let me enter the operating room and wait for almost an hour and the suffer for so much cold.

The doctor talked to me and then the application of anesthesia started. They instructed and assisted me to bend as much as I can that my chin and my knees will touch each other but I can't. It is so difficult for me because my tummy is so big. They let me sir and assisted me again to bend as much as I can then the injection on my back took place. It is not that painful but when the anesthesia entered my body, it is really a different feeling. (I never experienced it on my first baby because I lost my consciousness right after the anesthesiologist introduced herself to me.)

They let me lie down again and started the operation. I really appreciate the anesthesiologist for being so kind to me. She always asked me if I am okay until I can feel that my hand is shaking. I don't know if it is because of the Aircon that I felt so cold or because of the anesthesia? I told her that I felt so cold and I can't control my hands on shaking and then the anesthesiologist told me that she will let me sleep and I just nodded. After it I don't know what happened until I heard the baby's cry and don't know what happened next again.

Then, I remember that I was in the recovery room alone. Later, I saw some nurses just walking around. Then after few minutes a nurse came with my baby. She put the baby in my breast.

Later on they bring me and the baby in the ward. They put the baby beside me.

He was born November 11, 2024 at 10:01 in the morning. He weighed 3000 grams.

My husband was not in the room when we came. I asked help from other attendant in the room to get my cellphone in my bag but my cellphone wasn't there so I asked if they have load for call. I then let her dialed my number and glad my husband answered abruptly. He was outside of the operating room but when we go out it is also the time that he leave for a while for some personal needs.

He then went to our room and looks happy seeing me and the baby. He also have fear that I might not survived the operation because he witness how hard my experience during our first baby but prayer really have a power and God is really good.

Thank you so much for your prayers.

God is indeed good for answering our prayer. I survived the operation and never experienced what I have experienced during my first born. We thank God for another life that blossom, the life of our second baby, the life of our baby Dan-dan.

Today, our baby Dan-dan is one month old.

When I gave birth, I was wearing only my diaper and hospital gown went brought to the operating room.

Felt terrible cold but the nurse told me it should be the room temperature so doctors won't sweat.

And same, my anesthesiologist was also kind. Along with the nurse they help me to bend.

Congratulations on Dan-dan's arrival and how nice that it all happened in the blink of an eye even though the doctor was a little late and you were cold.
What a great joy to finally have your little baby boy in your arms!
