In this Christmas season the temperatures are dropping and in Venezuela, the capital Caracas, where I live, the weather is getting delicious, it's getting colder and colder, so much so that we take our coats out of the closet.

December becomes a beautiful month with a beautiful sky, cloudless blue, cold weather and bright sunshine.

So my daughter asked me to make her a sweater for this time of the year, with monkey fabric, and so I took on the task of making it, here I tell you how.

I bought the pattern already made in the stores, in my previous post I told you where is my favorite place, so there I bought it ready to trace, cut and sew.

But I put my personal touch, because everything can not be standard, you have to change and be original, is the magic of creating.

My daughter bought her jumpsuit or sports fabric, which is very warm, I started cutting the sleeves, here I started my creative action, by placing a black line in the middle to contrast with the gray.

I made the cuffs with a black monkey fabric that gave reinforcement and an original touch to the final project.

I did the same with the hood, on the edges where the drawstring will be, I put black on the border.

when I had all the pieces separately, I started to join the front and the back of the sweater by the shoulder, then I assembled the sleeves and sewed the armhole or side of the sweater.

Finally, glue the hood very carefully, so that it is centered, and everything matches perfectly.

this sweater is short above the navel, there I put a ribbon to adjust it and it is wide in the chest...

well it's somethingmodern and sporty.
