What happens in Tacloban, Stays in Tacloban 🫣🤭🗺️

After a week stay in Guiuan, its time for the next destination. It was Saturday noon when we returned to Tacloban City, where I first met Alysa, Sasha's best friend. We traveled for a long time, but I was never bored. Who could be bored when the view outside is the mesmerizing blue ocean, long beach, and mountain, but my favorite was when we passed by San Juanico bridge.

Tacloban City is a city in Eastern Visayas and the capital of the province of Leyte. It is the largest city and distributing centre in the Eastern Visayas Islands (Leyte and Samar).

We stayed at Sasha's sister's house in the meantime because we were scheduled to fly back to Cebu on Monday. But before we go back, Sasha wanted to take me to Leyte, her mother's province. I was overjoyed when I found out because some of my friends live in Leyte, and I'd love to go there to experience it myself.

We took our time wandering around the city. We ran into our former coworker Mariel at Robinsons Mall and decided to unwind in a cafe shop which will be blogging next.

It was also my first visit to PureGold supermarket. I know it's a popular supermarket in Manila, similar to Unitop or Colonnade in Cebu. So when I found out that Tacloban had it, I was ecstatic. We went to the market before heading home that night.

Tacloban's Robinsons Mall is nothing new. Their entrance is the only difference. When I walked into the mall, I had this amusing experience. Lol! Because entering the mall premises in Tacloban requires you to download a QR code from the City's website and show that QR code at the entrance to scan.

I initially attempted to generate my own QR code, but it was extremely difficult to navigate their website, so Sasha's sister sent me her QR code to use temporarily. When we were at the mall, and I tried to scan it, but the scanner did not recognize the QR code.

At that point, I began to panic because I felt like I had done something wrong hahaha, and people began to pile up behind me. The lady guard was too busy entertaining Sasha at the time because she was asking her something, so while I was on the verge of panicking, I asked the person next to me to let her scan her bar code, which worked immediately, and that was also the time the lady guard glanced back, but not at me, so I took the opportunity to walk inside and act like nothing happened. 😂😂

Omg If it hadn't been for Sasha and the person next to me, I would have been questioned and refused to pass by the guards because of the borrowed QR code. Lol. I also expected the guard to notice me because the machine did not ring when I attempted to scan the QR code, and then chase me. I'll never forget that experience, only in Tacloban. 😂😂

To the lady guard, I'm so sorry ate. I promise not to cheat again when I come back. 😁😂 That should do it for my Tacloban trip for now. I'll see you all in my next adventure.❤️
