Thank God its Friday! ππ
What is it about Fridays that energizes our soul, excites us to leave work, and makes us eager for a night out or a long nap? π¬π
Surprisingly, today went well. Normally, I end my week with a lot of stress. After work, I decided to go to Ayala and get some Jolibee take-out food (famous Filipino fastfood) because someone is too lazy to cook.
I don't usually come here alone; I usually go with @explorewithsasha, but she had to go somewhere important, so I went alone. I'm not sure if I posted about what's inside the mall because I only remember posting about the outside of Ayala Mall. Perhaps now is a good time to show you around Ayala Mall.
To be honest, working in a building so close to a mall is a luxury for me. Going into the city used to sound like the biggest reward for me because I spent most of my time at home in the province. My parents and I don't go to the city unless we have something important to do. I only went to the city to study when I was in college. That was also the time when I would go to the nearest mall almost every day, just strolling around and window shopping in my spare time, even if I didn't have a single penny in my pocket. I just like the coldness inside, the scent, and seeing lovely pretty clothes that I will never be able to afford.
I believe the mall has four floors all the way down to the basement. If I wanted to buy food, I had to go to the third floor, where there are various fastfoods and restaurants. There are a few fastfood restaurants on the 4th floor, as well as restaurants near the terrace. Coffee shops are scattered everywhere but most of their shops are at the top floor or outside near the terrace.
I went straight to Jolibee's takeout counter and ordered two pieces of chicken with rice and no drinks for 158 pesos. My boyfriend and I really like crispy spicy chicken, particularly from Jolibee. It has by far the most juicy and delicious chicken flavor of all time. I prefer Jolibee to other fastfood restaurants because their meals make me happy and are reasonably priced.
After a few minutes of waiting, I received my order. On my way out, I became so hungry that I couldn't wait to get home to eat my lunch, so I stopped at Waffle Time. I purchased two flavors: German Cheese Waffle and Tuna Cream Waffle. I ate the German cheese and saved the tuna for my boyfriend.
While waiting for a ride outside the mall, this plant caught my eye.
I've never seen anything like this before, or at least not up close. Do you know what plants are these? It's great that Ayala Mall is thinking about what should be outside as well as what should be inside. I like how they planted this along with some big trees and coconuts on the center island.
That is it so far for my #marketfriday edition by @dswigle. I wish you all a great weekend.β€οΈβ€οΈ

Hi @jeennicious !!I believe the plant is Indian Head Ginger. It opens up a little at the cone shape and makes lovely flowers. :)
There is something about Fridays and picking up dinner so there is no stress involved or doing something fun like going to the movies. It is time to let the workweek go and shift into relax mode, yes? I love spicy chicken and I think that might be my choice too unless it is seafood. Or pizza. What the heck, a little of everything would be good some days! :)
I have never had a waffle-like that! It looks interesting! Is that your preferred choice?
The mall is gorgeous and so many different stores to go to and just meander. I don't blame you for the casual walkthrough on days where you have time in between. Sometimes it gives me ideas and some days, I just like to look at pretty things. :) Thanks for taking us along!
Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday! I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see so many participating every week. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
