Pinning Ceremony & Candle Lighting

On August 30, 2022, the Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus hosted a face-to-face Pinning Ceremony and Candle Lighting for Bachelor of Science In Industrial Technology students. One of the students is my younger brother. The ceremony was a memorable occasion that formally announced these students' internship phase and began their journey as future technologists. Internships are an excellent opportunity for these students to put their university education to use, develop their skills, and begin building their own career paths. While the students hold the candle, each student chooses one important person in their lives to pin the pin to their shirt. My brother chooses our mother, whom we have always our backs since we were babies until we started school. It warms my heart to see my brother embark on this important stage of his life. I couldn't be more pleased. I recall him telling me before he started college that he is scared and nervous because he believes everything in college is difficult and complicated. He is concerned that he will not be able to pass all of the subjects, that he will not be able to make friends, and that he will fail. But now, 4 years later, he is much stronger than I thought he was. He may have flaws, but I know he can do it and that he will achieve all of his life ambitions and dreams someday. He hasn't graduated yet, but my joy is already so great that I can't wait for that day to come.
