WE102: Some things about me

An interesting #weekend-engagment writing prompt, it seems to me that it is a way to show our own world.
I have chosen these three questions to answer:

The lost product
Has there been a product you simply loved, a favourite, but can no longer get it? Tell us what is was, why you liked it and how you feel about losing it. Also explain how you've worked around the loss.

I must say that I am a fan of sweets, I really love candies and sometimes I succumb to them. Well I'll be honest with you, I bow down to them a lot more than a couple of times, but I know it's not healthy to consume them to the extreme, that's why I only choose one day a week to eat them.

Of course I have already selected my favorites and among them who took the first place were these delicious chewy candies lemon - mint flavor.

I enjoyed these 4 about 3 months ago, when I found out that the company that manufactured them would no longer make them.
It was a hard blow, the products I consume are hard to find and these delicacies were sold at the neighborhood store near my house, easy.
I currently have no substitute, as I have not found anything that even remotely resembles them.
Gluten intolerance doesn't make it easy for me either, I miss them but what can I do, maybe someday I'll find another sweet worthy of my palate 😁.

The changed product
Tell us about a product, food, item or service you really used to love but has now changed so much that you don't like it as much or at all. Explain why and what you replaced it with.

I didn't think I had the opportunity to vent about this product that I loved in the past, but today it has become something very different.

One of the things I wished for years ago was the release of a vegan mayonnaise, but my longed-for wish never came true.
Time passed and my pleas were heard, I saw how the plant-based food market was booming and in my country they created the "Not Mayo".
Truly a delicacy of the gods, I had never tasted such a delicious mayonnaise in all my life. So I had all the ingredients for my vegan burger.

The NotCo company started to become known and even collaborated with Papa John's, the problem was that they changed the flavors of their star product, I imagine to reduce costs.
Now it is no longer the same, in the end they created something that was becoming famous that was of vegetable origin and the fools messed it up.
It tastes pretty bad and in a few days it turns very sour, so you end up throwing away more than half of the mayonnaise, since it is impossible for you to finish the whole jar so quickly.
I have not changed product, because I can't find anything better, I ran out of anything.

Products in or on your bedside table
Tell us about the products in or on your bedside table. Explain why they are there, what you use them for, how they work, their benefits or practical applications. It can be explicit or vague.

In Chile we are in the middle of winter, so on my small bedside table is the electric heater, which almost occupies all the space there is.
Also, as you can see in the picture, there is a very famous ointment around here, especially in this season. Its name Mentholatum, is a wonderful and very effective nasal decongestant.

Another must-have is the books I'm reading, both at night and during the day, so you'll always see two on the bedside table.
My skin is quite dry, so I always have my hand cream nearby to moisturize at night.
The last two products are my cell phone hearing aids and my kitty's vet check card.

At the end inside you'll find a lot of stuff, absolute chaos, but I'll show it to you anyway.

You can see some acrylic paints, a set of dominoes, a make-up base, a pen, my Freddie Mercury notebook, my camera, which I hardly use anymore, a blood pressure machine and even my sanitary napkins 😂.

It's so annoying when good sweets go out of production. I know that, at least in Norway, there's a market strategy to create some wild new taste that they'll only sell for a few months then take it out of production. They do it so that people will go looking for that taste but then instead just buy the standard product which is more expensive and also cheaper for them to produce. Bastards!

I have a sweet tooth myself. I cannot even count the number of my favorite confectionery that has gone missing. The good thing though is that life has a way of providing you with an alternative. And while they might not be like the original, many come pretty close. I trust you will find something soon.
