Pastime, a word that means entertainment, is what I need in my life. This week has been really exhausting emotionally speaking and there are still days to go.
I've been reading a bit here and there, when suddenly I came across the Ladies of Hive Community Contest #71. I've decided to participate, let's see what writing comes out of me.

When I was a girl I only had 2 hobbies, yes I was weird, well now as an adult I'm still the same.
I liked to watch documentaries about Nature or rather about animal life. On the other hand collecting encyclopedias related to the above.
I used to try to learn to recognize the different species, the truth is that I learned a lot but nowadays I have forgotten everything 😅.
Also, I no longer practice the same hobbies as when I was a girl, as in adolescence I switched to others.

Cuando era niña solo tenía 2 pasatiempos, sí era una niña extraña, bueno ahora de adulto sigo siéndolo igual.
Me gustaba ver documentales de Naturaleza o mejor dicho de la vida animal. Por otro lado coleccionar enciclopedias relacionadas con lo antes mencionado.
Intentaba aprender a reconocer diferentes especies, la verdad es que aprendí bastante pero hoy ya se me ha olvidado todo 😅
Además ya no práctico los mismos pasatiempos de niña, ya que después en la adolescencia cambie a otros.

As I said in my adolescence I changed to other hobbies that led me to want to collect minerals. Something that I have maintained to this day, but that I expanded not only to minerals but also to any stone that seems interesting to me.

Como dije en mi adolescencia cambié a otras aficiones que me llevaron a querer coleccionar minerales. Algo que he mantenido hasta hoy, pero que amplié no sólo a los minerales sino a cualquier piedra que me parezca interesante.

It all started when one rainy day I decided to go out to the garden, in a part where there was dirt a small piece of stone was sticking out. It caught my attention and I started digging, I found a beautiful rock with glints of gold.
From that moment on I was fascinated, wherever I go I appreciate the stones and if I like their shape I bring them with me.
In the house I have found several, this is because my father was a miner in his youth.
I like to collect them because I feel they transmit tranquility and a connection with our planet.
It is said that stones protect you from negative energy and that is why you have to clean them from time to time.

Todo comenzó cuando un día de lluvia decidí salir al jardín, en una parte donde había tierra sobresalía un pequeño trozo de piedra. Me llamó la atención y empecé a cavar, encontré una hermosa piedra con destellos de oro.
Desde ese momento quedé fascinada, allá donde voy aprecio las piedras y si me gusta su forma me las traigo.
En la casa he encontrado varias, esto se debe a que mi padre fue minero en su juventud.
Me gusta coleccionarlas porque siento que transmiten tranquilidad y una conexión con nuestro planeta.
Se dice que las piedras te protegen de la energía negativa y por eso hay que limpiarlas de vez en cuando.

I found this quartz a month ago near the place where I have my succulents.
White quartzes give us serenity, peace and calm, so they provide emotional security and improve the general attitude.

Este cuarzo lo encontré hace un mes cerca del lugar donde tengo mis suculentas.
Los cuarzos blancos nos dan serenidad, paz y calma, por lo que proporcionan seguridad emocional y mejoran la actitud general.
