Weekend Scene In Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu | #Monomad Challenge

Hello there Hivers, hope everyone is doing well its been almost a week that I haven't posted any content to Hive, and for today I'm coming back with new content intended for the Black and White community. To begin with, I will be sharing my photos of one of the most visited landmarks here in Cebu, Philippines the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu. If you happen to visit Cebu try to stop by and see for yourself the beautiful architectural structure of the Basilica which is known as one of the oldest Catholic Churches in Cebu.

Two weeks ago I and my wife went to Cebu City for our Doctors appointment and since we will be in Cebu City we decided to stop by Basilica right after our Doctors appointment to have a candle lighting and offers thanksgiving prayers as well.

We both expected that the Basilica will be crowded during that time since it was the weekend and as we arrived at the Basilica a mass just ended so churchgoers flocked to the Pilgrim Center as it is an open space where everyone can have picture taking of the Basilica as well as taking selfies,

At the same time, there are some vendors that were allowed to enter the vicinity of the Basilica but only allowed when there's no mass just like these vendors who sell balloons. And likely attracts churchgoers, especially the kids as they have colorful balloons and a cartoon characters design.

As we were done with the candle lighting, we then head on to the exit, but then I noticed that the exit passage reminds me of the Arc de Triomphe of Paris, France but in a different version. Well, it's just my own perspective anyways.

Above photos were all captured by yours truly using Sony A6000 with 16-50mm Sony Kit lens. At the same time, these photos will be my entry as well for the #monomad challenge a daily photo contest authored by @monochromes.
