Hello Dave.
I'm a bit like you, I like cats...
I had started an answer but finally, I gave up, I still have too much rage towards this army of decerebrated consumers who take the place of my congeners.
Nice article.
I would add that the changes you noted on the festival cards concerning Russia mark the commercial limit of the game. By this I mean that distilling ideology through a game shows what community the latter claims to be from. All that is missing is that the "character" cards wear a mask and have the slogan: "have you denounced your brother not wearing his muzzle?”
Just like the "universal income" that all those who claim it will not hesitate to find "normal" that some are excluded from it for reasons that could not be more futile and ridiculous, they want it and will find normal the establishment of a Chinese-style "social credit".
God laughs at men who complain about the consequences whose causes they cherish.
It looks like you found your second wind! lol
I hear you, and I really appreciate your honest perspective... I have to admit that I wasn't sure if the first part was sarcasm, but it quickly became clear. And I laughed out loud at the cat comment!)
You're not wrong about any of it. We are in serious trouble... and it's not about rules anymore, but the people who have adopted them as ridiculous paradigms. If something epic doesn't snap into place soon, there won't be much left to hold dear.
I think what we're seeing now is the effect of an epic shift in the way people view government and media that IS snapping into place. Of course, we'll burn down everything we hold dear while it snaps into place, but then we'll build shiny new things, and hold them dear...
I don't hate that concept... but I feel like it will never be the right people doing the building. I'm a hopeless skeptic though (who is trying to keep a little hope for my 11-year-old daughter). It should be an interesting decade to watch play out.
