I think the most important thing for me, for example with that first story, is the capacity I had to empathize, that undoubtedly made me enjoy it more. When that happens you connect in a different way with the anime and it ends up being a very cool experience.
And well, if you feel like feeling things I think you should watch it without any doubt!
