(ESP-ENG) Un caos accidentado en Qatar.
Hello friends, good vibes to all.
Penultimate race of the season, one that was unprecedented because it was the 23rd and there had never been so many awards in one year, next weekend we will close with the 24th in Abu Dhabi. This award at championship level did not define anything since Verstappen was crowned last week in Las Vegas, but it had the attraction of several battles: the one for the runner-up position, the one for the constructors' world championship and the one that is taking place for the sixth place in that table. Many things happened yesterday, incidents, penalties, race retirements, crashes and of course, the post-race news that will always be the talk of the town. Personally I think it was a very entertaining award for everything that happened during the race.
It was a sprint race weekend, with Piastri taking first and Norris second. This got McLaren off to a good start for the constructors' world championship and would be a good preamble to the main race. The orange team the only thing they had to do was to score over Ferrari a certain amount of points, I do not mention Red Bull because they got out of the fight long ago; they could also get a little bit closer to Ferrari but again Checo Perez made the options impossible. But back to Saturday, we would see how after Max won it, they would take away the pole position to give it to Russell and with that the festival of penalties would begin. The truth is I don't remember how many there were but it was crazy, the race direction kept announcements coming out, one that yesterday was very questioned by the way.
Lights out and in just the first corner disaster would be unleashed, one where 4 drivers were involved: Ocon and Colapinto who were automatically out of the award and there was another between Stroll and Hulkenberg which would mean 10 seconds for the Aston Martin driver. This is on a personal note but I still don't understand, beyond the last name, what Lance Stroll is doing in Formula 1, inexplicable to me at this point. Anyway, the race would be a total mess, to list everything is impossible but it is that almost all drivers, directly or indirectly, were involved in some kind of incidents on track. Collisions, false starts, infractions with the SC and yellow flags, dirty track because of those crashes which led to several cars being affected; everything that can happen in a race happened yesterday in Qatar.
Beyond that what was seen was entertaining because those things are eye-catching and constantly change the race scenario. We saw how Norris lost the podium because of a 10-second penalty, how Zhou Guanyu scored his first points of the season with Sauber, Perez was again out of the race and with him RB's chances of scoring points, a totally morally shattered Hamilton with that Mercedes that never performed to the point that he asked to recall the car, Gasly finishing fifth and thus giving good points to Alpine and finally Leclerc finishing second which meant that McLaren could not celebrate the constructors' championship to keep Ferrari alive. What does this mean? - That in Abu Dhabi we will see sparks, perhaps more than we saw yesterday in Qatar.
But the awards do not end once the checkered flag is waved, no sir, and then we have read news that has emerged after what has been seen on track and facing Abu Dhabi and the next season. Definitely, apparently, it closes the door of Colapinto to Red Bull or RB but opens another window out there. It is known that Ocon will not end up with Alpine, the French have cancelled his contract and Doohan will be the one to sit in that car, some say that it is a move by Briatore to test the young Australian and decide whether to keep him or go with the Argentinean Colapinto; others say that it is because Ocon, being from Hass, they do not want him to score more points with Alpine so that the North American team has more options. Nothing concrete and sure but when the river sounds...
And well, not to lose the habit, once again we talked about Checo Perez and the doubts that exist around his continuity with Red Bull. The truth is that it has not been good at all, the thing is that a good performance was expected after Las Vegas but once again he was in debt again. I feel that the Mexican is mentally broken, the best thing for him is that the season is over and his future is decided once and for all. For now less than a week is what we have to wait to see the outcome of a season which is closing very tight in terms of fights, many things to be defined in a circuit that already has history in this type of moments, if not ask Verstappen and Hamilton in 2021.
Well my people that's all for today, I hope you liked it.

Your level lowered and you are now a Red Fish!
