Estas semanas en la Fórmula 1 han sido un tanto movidas tanto con cosas que suceden como dentro y fuera de las pistas y que en México se volvieron a dar. Este circuito es uno de lo más complicados por varias razones, la primera es por la altura y es que la ciudad sobrepasa los dos mil metros sobre le nivel del mar lo que afecta al aire y por tanto al desempeño de los vehículos, el asfalto tiene muy poco grid por lo que el carro en su parte trasera se mueva muy fácil, hay tres zonas DRS pero igual es muy complejo sobrepasar, la distancia entre la salida y la primera curva es una gran recta que da para mucho juego; bastantes curvas; en fin.

Pero no fue solo Max quien no estuvo fino, tenemos que hablar del Checo Pérez. El mexicano está en el ojo del huracán, salir en eliminado en la Q1 ya fue grave pero que al momento de la partida de la carrera te ubiques mal en el cajón de salida y por ello te penalicen con 5 segundos es el colmo. Pero como eso no fue suficiente terminó último. Creo que el futuro de Pérez pende de un hilo muy delgado y débil del que no se si se podrá seguir sosteniendo; ya Horner salió a dar declaraciones contundentes al respecto. Ahora cuando la Red Bull necesita tener a sus dos pilotos en sintonía, por el ascenso magistral de Ferrari y la pelea constante de McLaren, no se pueden dar el lujo de este tipo de actuaciones. Y es que Max a pesar de la sanción de 20 segundos logró salvar el día y terminó de sexto pero lo del Checo fue un despropósito total. ¿Lo despedirán después de Brasil? - veremos.

La realidad es que no todo fue malo, claro que no, de hecho la carrera en si fue muy buena y entretenida, vimos todo como han podido leer. La actuación de Carlos Sainz durante todo el fin de semana fue estelar y extraordinaria, desde la pole position vimos como siempre estuvo al frente, incluso le sacó más de dos décimas a Verstappen para llevarsela. En la carrera fue más de lo mismo, salió líder y así se mantuvo durante casi las 71 vueltas teniendo un ritmo y desempeño magistral. Todavía me cuesta creer que este piloto haya sido descartado por Ferrari, no porque Hamilton no lo valga sino por la calidad propia del español. Pero bueno, estamos viendo a fin de cuentas una evolución muy buena de la escudería italiana ganando dos premios consecutivos y entrenando de lleno en la pelea de constructores superando a la Red Bull y poniéndose de segundos en la clasificación.

Por el otro lado ambos McLaren lograron puntuar a pesar de que Piastri no se haya visto bien en la calificación del sábado, muy sorprendido por la actuación de los Haas, los dos se metieron en el top 10 y sacaron puntos importantes, esos carros con motores Ferrari están funcionando un poco mejor en los últimos premios. Fue una carrera en donde vimos muchos roces, fue muy áspera, casi todos los pilotos estuvieron involucrados en algo lo que hizo que la misma fuera, como ya comentaba, muy entretenida de ver. Lawson es otro de los que está en la mira y no precisamente por buenas actuaciones, ya lleva tres altercados con tres pilotos distintos (Alonso, Colapinto y el Checo Pérez), con el mexicano quizás el más significativo de todos. Se sabe del temperamento del neozelandés por lo que Horner deberá apretar tuercas.

La próxima carrera será este fin de semana que viene en el circuito de Interlagos en Brasil. Sainz digno ganador ayer, Norris segundo gracias a un despiste de Leclerc y el monegasco quedó tercero.

Un título adecuado de lo que fue el fin de semana de Carlos Sainz, aplastó a sus rivales más allá de que en la carrera en las últimas vueltas Lando de haya recortado tiempo, el español controló la carrera, a diferencia de Leclerc quien no supo gestionar llantas y al final le terminó costando la segunda posición. El campeonato se puso interesante, aunque aún veo mucha diferencia entre Max y Norris, tan solo un abandono del holandés, puede poner el campeonato con posibilidades.

Las sanción de Max Verstappen fue más que merecida, por fin la FIA hace lo correcto y fue por la presión desde los pilotos en la reunión en México tras el GP de Estados Unidos.

La carrera fue interesante, los pilotos muy agresivos y es lo que más puedo destacar.

Todo el fin de semana Sáinz estuvo perfecto y más rápido que todos. Ojalá en Ferrari se estén arrepintiendo de la decisión. Es complicado que Norris alcance a Verstappen, una tragedia tendría que ocurrir pero la lucha por el segundo lugar si se puso buena, tanto en pilotos como en constructores.

Como dices, el campeonato se puso cerrado. Veremos qué pasa en Brasil.
