Good morning to all movie lovers, this time I wanted to see an animated movie.

In itself this film orion in the dark must be analyzed as a roller coaster, with highs and lows, so there are things that fit very well and others not so much, anyway the movie is enjoyable.

What is this movie about?

At the beginning it shows us a child and I dare say with quite an anxiety complex as he keeps thinking and wearing out his imagination in situations that will never happen, maximizing them to the point of creating paranoia, i.e., if I take 3 steps walking and turn down this street, I will have bad luck, or if I take this cutlery and drop it, something will happen that will alter my whole day.

I would add that many times in our lives we have experienced these emotions, and if we can say it (it is making a storm in a bucket of water), taking to the extreme trivial day to day things like calamities that will affect our social visa or our risk of being safe. Simply put, someone paranoid.

Our boy protagonist suffers from this disease, to the point that he has a diary with notes of the worst situations that could happen to him...which makes him clinically and mentally unhinged without telling lies, among these risks are making a fool of himself in the classroom, being bullied by the school bully, even random situations that could never happen.

The boy has a lot of imagination but saturates it in creating hypothetical risky situations that only affect his sanity.

Logically his social life is closed, he does not talk to anyone and is the typical boy who stays in a corner of the wall. Even so, the boy likes a classmate, but does not have the courage to talk to her (which evidently he does not, she wants to know about him, to go out with him), but like all men in this world, he does not take hints and closes himself in his old age to ruin the moment flying his imagination with hypothetical situations.

The point is that one of his worst fears is to be alone in the dark, something that his parents are already a little tired of, because the boy sleeps with the lights on and avoids going to sleep until he does not wear out his mind in a story to fall asleep.

The fact is that at a certain moment there is a power outage and the boy, in his personal discomfort, insults the darkness itself as a challenge to confront his fear.

Here the movie takes a somewhat random turn...and yes, I wouldn't be surprised since even the boy himself questioned it in the movie.

The representation of darkness takes his corporeal form and verbally confronts the boy, but to everyone's surprise instead of being a grim entity like a grim reaper, (they try to put a friendly and cartoonish character looking for friends).

Clearly the reaction is evident, the character did not fit very well with his character. So it's strange to caricature an evil entity as a positive imaginary friend looking to help you.

Returning to the plot, the darkness as a creature takes the child for a night tour, so that he loses his fear of the night and unveils the activities he must do as a guardian of the night.

At this point the film takes another direction, something already seen in other films, that is, (the darkness as an entity) we are pigeonholed with the blue creature of monster inc...and his friends who are nocturnal creatures that are responsible for other tasks, such as making people sleep, put dreams in their minds...or make them nervous with strange noises in the street at night...they look like a copy of the "rise of the guardians".

After this point, every co-worker at night reproaches him for bringing a child to the shift, obviously the boy hinders them in their work and throughout the film they confirm that he is a burden.

At the same time, the representative of the sun is very close to the night and they must always move to other cities so that the sun does not reach them, making day and night a continuous activity (as when Santa Claus delivers gifts all over the world).

Undoubtedly the movie entertains, it is necessary to clarify that this film has another plot twist.
at a certain point the action pauses and we see that in reality what we have seen is a story to put a little girl to sleep, in this case, (the boy is already an adult, has a family and invents a story on the fly so that his little daughter loses her fear of the dark).

At this point there is a mixture of realities, between what happens with what is narrated along with the characters in the present that narrate the story...and if something like in the movie (the never ending story), giving an entertaining approach that is a living fable that happens on what the protagonists invent in the human world.

At this point the protagonist's daughter gets involved in the story, as her father was somewhat closed-minded and could not continue the narrative, so she enters the main story to help (in the world of the story to her father's child version and the entity that embodies the darkness and his nocturnal friends).

It must be said that up to this point the story is unpredictable and entertaining, although with the comparative factors of mixes of films seen (monster inc, Rise of the guardians, the never ending story) it may not give a touch of authenticity to the film itself.
But undoubtedly up to this point the film is enjoyable.

And why do I say that, unfortunately in the climax of the movie (a third character comes out of nowhere and ruins the whole plot), I'm talking about the grandson of the protagonist who comes to save the story as a character from the future, in a spaceship.

It literally came out of nowhere, and it destroyed the film. (At this point in my concept it's like if they used "the second part of the great lego adventure 2" where the little sister arrived with her dolls and invades.
That's how bad it feels to have a kid from the future come in and save the day.

Maybe at the script level, the writer might say, "well now the protagonist's daughter is an adult with a child, and she is now telling the same story her father told her when she was a child, but to her son to put him to sleep.
In theory it looks nice in the script, but in practice for those who see the film, putting an extra character at the end, ruins everything.

As I say this film has many ups and downs, many good, like the hook of introducing us to the child protagonist with his anxiety problems, others not so good, like the darkness as a character...maybe at the beginning we do not accept it, but little by little it is gaining empathy from those who see the firm and digest it as a dispensable part of the plot.

This film delivers a strange mix of situations that always fluctuates between plot twists, but not for the worse, as it keeps the viewer sitting there devouring the content to understand the story.

So to call it a bad movie (because of the ending) is not fair at all, but the movie entertains, it does its job, that's why I can't classify it as a masterpiece either.

I would like to clarify that what this film lacked was a better character design to attract the attention of the audience, that is to say, "they feel something like independent Russian animated film designs" but it does not portray endearing characters that stay in the retina of the consumer like other Dreamworks films.

If the characters were better designed it would be an award winning film.

But unfortunately it may happen as something random that few people saw, (I add that the plot is interesting, just did not know how to push the film well).

It must be said that these are personal appreciations, but if one day you feel bored and with nothing to see, then give this film a chance.

Muy buenas a todos los amantes del cine, en esta ocasión quise ver una pelicula animada.

En si esta filme orion en la oscuridad hay que analizarlo como una montaña rusa, con altos y bajos, asi hay cosas que encajaron muy bien y otras no tanto, de igual forma la pelicula se disfruta.

De que va esta pelicula?

Al inicio nos muestra a un niño y me atrevo a decir con bastante complejo de ansiedad ya que se la pasa pensando y desgastando su imaginacion en situaciones que nunca ocurrirán, maximizandolas al punto de crear paranoia, es decir, que si doy 3 pasos caminando y giro por esta calle, tendre mala suerte, o si cojo este cubierto y lo dejo caer pasara algo que alterara todo mi dia.

Añado que estas emociones muchas veces en algun momento de nuestras vidas las hemos experimentado , y si podemos decirlo (es armar una tormenta en un baso con agua), llevando al extremo cosas triviales del dia dia como calamidades que afectaran nuestra visa social o nuestro riesgo de estar a salvo. En palabras sencillas alguien paranoico.

Nuestro niño protagonista sufre de esta enfermedad, al punto de que tiene un diario con anotaciones de sus peores situaciones que le podrian ocurrir...lo cual lo vuelve clinicamente y mentalmente un desquiciado sin decir mentiras, entre estos riesgos esta hacer el ridiculo en el aula de clase, que el bravucón de la escuela te acose, hasta situaciones random que jamas podrían pasar.

El chico tiene mucha imaginación pero la satura en crear situaciones de riesgo hipoteticas que solo afectan su cordura.

Logicamente su vida social es cerrada, no habla con nadie y es el tipico chico que se queda en un rincon de la pared. Aun asi el niño gusta de una compañera de clase, pero no tiene el valor de hablarle. (cosa que evidentemente el al contrario, ella quiere saber de él, salir con él), pero como todo hombre en este mundo, no capta indirectas y se encierra en su anciedad de arruinar el momento volando se imaginacion con situaciones hipoteticas.

El punto dado es que entre sus peores temores es estar solo en la oscuridad, cosa que ya sus padres estan algo cansados de esto, pues el chico duerme con las luces encendidas y evita dormirse hasta no desgastar su mente en una historia para conciliar el sueño.

El caso es que en determinado momento hay un apagón de energía y el chico en su inconformidad personal, insulta a la misma oscuridad como reto de confrontar su miedo.

Aca la pelicula toma un giro algo random...y si, no me extranaria ya que hasta el mismo chico se lo cuestiono en la pelicula.

La representación de la oscuridad toma su forma corpórea y enfrenta verbalmente al muchacho, pero para sorpresa de todos en vez de ser un ente sombrío como una parca, (nos tratan de poner a un personaje amistoso y caricaturesco que busca amigos).

Claramente la reaccion es evidente, no encajaba muy bien el personaje con su caracter. Asi que es extraño caricaturizar a un ente de maldad como un amigo imaginario positivo que busca ayudarte.

Volviendo a la trama la oscuridad como criatura, se lleva al niño para un recorrido nocturno, para que este pierda su miedo a la noche y de paso desvelar las actividades que debe hacer como guardian de la noche.

En ente punto la película toma otro rumbo algo ya visto en otros filmes, es decir, (la oscuridad como ente) nos lo encasillan con el monstruo azul de monster inc...y a sus amigos que son criaturas nocturnas que se encargan de otras tareas, como hacer dormir a las personas, ponerles sueños en sus mentes...o ponerlos nerviosos con ruidos raros en la calle de noche...se ven como una copia de el origen de los guardianes.

Pasado este punto cada compañero de trabajo de la noche, le recriminan por traer un niño al turno, obviamente el chico les estorba en sus labores y a lo largo del filme pues confirman que él es una carga.

A la par de esto el representante del sol esta muy a la par de la noche y pues siempre deben desplazarse a otras ciudades para que este no los alcance, haciendo del dia y la noche una actividad continua
(como cuando santa claus entrega regalos en todo el mundo).

indudablemente la pelicula entretiene, hay que aclarar que este filme tiene otro giro de trama.
en determinado momento la accion se pausa y vemos que en realidad lo que hemos visto es una historia para hacer dormir a una niña, en este caso, (el niño ya es adulto, tiene familia e inventa sobre la marcha una historia para que su hija pequeña le pierda el miedo a la oscuridad).

En este punto hay una mescla de realidades, entre lo que ocurre con lo narrado junto con los personajes en el presente que narran la historia...y si algo asi como en la pelicula (la historia sin fin), dando un enfoque entretenido de que es una fabula viviente que ocurre sobre lo que inventen sus protagonistas en el mundo humano.

en este punto la hija del protagonista se inmiscuye en la historia, pues su padre estaba algo cerrado de ideas y no podia continuar la narrativa, asi que ella entra a la historia principal para ayudar (en el mundo de la historia a su padre version niño y al ente que encarna a la oscuridad y sus amigos nocturnos).

Cabe decir que hasta este punto la historia es impredecible y entretenida, aunque con los factores comparativos de mesclas de filmes vistos (moster inc, el origen de los guardianes, la historia sin fin) puede que no llegue a dar un toque de autenticidad al mismo filme. pero indudablemente hasta este punto la película es disfrutable.

Y pues porque lo digo?, lamentablemente en el climas de la pelicula (un tercer personaje sale de la nada y arruina el total de la trama contada), hablo del nieto del protagonista que llega a salvar la historia como un personaje del futuro, en una nave espacial.

Literalmente salio de la nada, y pues destrozo el filme. ( A estas alturas en mi concepto es como si usaran "la segunda parte de la gran aventura lego 2" donde llego la hermanita con sus muñecas e invade y sacaron un filme exclusivo para eso.
Asi de mal se siente que llegue un niño del futuro y salve el dia.

Puede que a niveles de guion, es escritor digiera, "bueno ahora la hija del protagonista esta adulta y con un niño, y ella ahora esta narrando la misma historia que le conto su padre cuando ella era niña, pero a su hijo para que se duerma.
En teoria se ve bonito en guion, pero en la practica para quien ve el filme, meter un personaje extra al final, arruina todo.

Como digo esta película tiene muchos altibajos, muchos buenos, como el enganche de presentarnos al niño protagonista con sus problemas de ansiedad, otros no tan buenos, como la oscuridad como personaje...puede que al inicio no lo aceptemos, pero poco a poco va ganando empatia de los que ven el firme y lo digieren como parte prescindible de la trama.

Este filme entrega una mescla rara de situaciones que siempre van fluctuando entre los giros de trama, aunque no para mal, ya que mantienen al espectador sentado devorando el contenido visto para entender la historia.

Así que decir catalogarla de que es mala (por la parte del final) no es nada justo, es mas, la pelicula entretiene, cumple con lo suyo, por eso tampoco puedo encasillarla como obra maestra.

Aclaro que a este filme lo que le falto fue un mejor diseño de personajes para llamar la atención del publico, es decir," se sienten algo asi como diseños de peliculas independientes de animacion rusa" pero no plasma un personajes entrañables que se queden en la retina del consumidor como otras peliculas de Dreamworks.

Si los personajes estuvieran mejor diseñados perfectamente seria un filme ganadora de algún premio.

Pero por desgracia puede que pase como algo aleatorio que pocas personas vieron, (ojo añado que la trama es interesante, solo que no se supo impulsar bien el filme).

Cabe decir que son apreciaciones personales, pero si un día te sientes aburrido y sin nada que ver, pues dale una oportunidad a esta película.
