Surprise! en/es

Well, yes & no; yes, it was an intended surprise, but no, I found out strictly by accident!

I had some warning only because our beloved had forgotten to snag the address somehow, oops! We've all been there and done it hahahaha!!!
But for someone in this situation, that they are supposed to be enjoying a vacation with family, it is a tremendous feeling to be remembered when one is not a member of the immediate family. So, I knew about this coming in advance, which just added to the anticipation of receiving it. I didn't know what the surprise was, but it really didn't matter, I knew it'd be super cool!

So there is a card with a 3d finish, the front of the card looks like it's a foot deep and is heavy, and it's super cool to look at. There are fish all over it, and a couple of dolphins (I swear I didn't do it on porpoise hahahahaha!!!) but the only thing missing is her in the water, since I know she dives and also does underwater photography. The magnet is about 5 inches long and is a pretty heavy duty magnet, and it now has it's home right under the clogs that she sent me.

There was a beautiful handwritten letter inside the card (snail mail is extremely rare nowadays, it's a sign of a real friend to actually write something and send it).

I put the card up on top of my main computer, but I cannot let my daughter see it because I took her card down to put this one up hahahaha!!!

So I added this magnet to my other little collection of precious items, the clogs that Britt sent me from the Netherlands, and the magnet, and they're both magnets, and that's a 5 lb/2.267962 kg solid machined steel paperweight that's holding that lamp so it doesn't fall over hahahaha.
The two rocks were sent to me by my youngest granddaughter Ariceli, along with a homemade necklace that is hanging on the other side of my monitor that says "OUY EVOL" hahahaha, her way is to write it backwards, I guess it's for fun and provides something you won't easily forget!!

¡Bueno, sí y no; sí, fue una sorpresa intencionada, pero no, me enteré por pura casualidad!

Recibí una advertencia solo porque nuestro amado se había olvidado de obtener la dirección de alguna manera, ¡ups! ¡Todos hemos estado allí y lo hemos hecho jajaja! Pero para alguien en esta situación, que se supone que está disfrutando de unas vacaciones con la familia, es un sentimiento tremendo ser recordado cuando no eres un miembro de la familia inmediata. Entonces, sabía que esto vendría de antemano, lo que se sumó a la anticipación de recibirlo. No sabía cuál era la sorpresa, pero en realidad no importaba, ¡sabía que sería genial!

Así que hay una tarjeta con un acabado en 3D, el frente de la tarjeta parece tener un pie de profundidad y es pesado, y es genial a la vista. Hay peces por todas partes, y un par de delfines (juro que no lo hice en marsopa jajajajaja!!!) pero lo único que falta es ella en el agua, que sé que bucea y también hace fotografía submarina. El imán mide aproximadamente 5 pulgadas de largo y es un imán bastante resistente, y ahora tiene su lugar justo debajo de los zuecos que me envió.

Había una hermosa carta escrita a mano dentro de la tarjeta (el correo postal es extremadamente raro hoy en día, es una señal de que un verdadero amigo realmente escribe algo y lo envía).

Puse la tarjeta en la parte superior de mi computadora principal, pero no puedo dejar que mi hija la vea porque tomé su tarjeta para colocar esta jajajaja!!!

Así que agregué esto a mi otra pequeña colección de artículos preciosos, los zuecos que Britt me envió desde los Países Bajos, y el imán, y ambos son imanes, y ese es un pisapapeles de acero mecanizado sólido de 5 lb/2.267962 kg que es aguantando esa lámpara para que no se caiga jajajaja. Las dos rocas me las envió mi nieta menor Ariceli, junto con un collar hecho en casa que está colgando del otro lado de mi monitor que dice "OUY EVOL" jajajaja, su manera es escribirlo al revés, supongo que es para ¡¡diviertela y proporciona algo que no olvidarás fácilmente!!

the dolphin fits perfectly for you. : ) Dolphin of Hive.
But yeah, having a friend writing a card nowadays is in another level, where mostly done in e-mail or other electronic type of writing.

That is something that must have melted your ole' Marine heart. I too love getting hand written messages, but like you said, they are so rare these days. It does say a great deal about the person who takes the time to sit down and write it. It shows you have a great friendship that means a good deal to her.

That necklace from the granddaughters is really special as well.

What a beautiful card, love it, what a cute fish and dolphins in 3D.

It is beautiful when someone takes the detail of giving us a little surprise, these are the nice things that life has to keep in the memory.

I don't have grandchildren yet, but I know that when I have them I will enjoy them very much, and I will love them like no one else.
