A Beautiful Walk With Friends! 💙✨ - ENG / SPA -
Hello my dear friends! I hope you are very well. I tell you is that this Saturday I had a very nice experience when visiting the House Museum of Blessed José Gregorio Hernández, which I had always wanted to visit and had not been able to go until I was finally able to go in the company of all my catechism classmates and my dear friends from the parish, and it was an incredible experience so today it's a pleasure for me to share it with you.
¡Hola, mis queridos amigos! Espero estén muy bien. El cuento que este sábado tuve una experiencia muy bonita al visitar la Casa Museo del Beato José Gregorio Hernández, al cual siempre habÃa queridos visitar y no habÃa podido ir hasta que finalmente pude ir em compañÃa de todos mis compañeros de catequesis y mis queridos amigos de la parroquia, y fue una experiencia increÃble asà que hoy para mi es un placer compartirla con ustedes.
As I had told you previously, I'm currently preparing to do confirmation in the parish where I live, and on Saturday our catechists surprised us with a trip to this house museum, and we all really had a great time. This museum is important for our church because it's located in what was the house of what will be our first Venezuelan saint, Dr. José Gregorio Hernández, and although it's currently under maintenance, they let us enter because there was a special event and the priest of our church is the one who leads the cause of the Blessed's canonization, so we were very lucky. Entering first we were able to see remains of the original house which are almost underground and to pass through you have to walk over a platform. Then we could see in the central part a mural in which people have left recognitions for favors granted.
Como les habÃa contado anteriormente actualmente me encuentro preparándome para hacer la confirmación en la parroquia en la que hago vida, y el dÃa sábado nuestros catequistas nos sorprendieron con un paseo a esta casa museo, y de verdad que todos la pasamos muy bien. Este museo es importante para nuestra iglesia ya que está ubicado en la que fue la casa del que será nuestro primer santo venezolano el Dr José Gregorio Hernández y aunque ahorita está en mantenimiento nos dejaron entrar ya que habÃa un evento especial y el párroco de nuestra iglesia es el que lleva la causa de la canonización del Beato, asà que tuvimos mucha suerte. Entrando primero pudimos ver restos de la casa original los cuales están casi bajo tierra y para poder pasar hay que caminar por encima de una plataforma. Luego pudimos ver en la parte central un mural en el que las personas han dejado reconocimientos por favores concedidos.
We were also able to visit other places in the museum such as, for example, a room in which there is a shelf with things from the time in which Dr José Gregorio lived as well as some allusive figures which were created for a contest and I thought they were very cool, and a table explaining how he died. Towards the other side there is a representation of what the house was like at that time and I really thought it was very beautiful, we could see replicas of objects that were in his home, also of paintings and spaces such as a room, the office where he attended to his patients in his home and also a living room. I liked seeing objects like a telephone which is curious because the line was 001, and a sewing machine that belonged to his mother. There are other rooms with photographs and other things alluding to the Doctor which I also liked. Although all the things are replicas (except for the telephone and the sewing machine as we were told), I liked seeing an authentic recipe written by Dr. José Gregorio, whose handwriting no one could understand.
También pudimos visitar otros lugares del museo como por ejemplo, una habitación en la que hay un estante con cosas de la época en la que vivió el Dr José Gregorio asà como unas figuras alusivas las cuales fueron creadas para un concurso y me parecieron muy geniales, y un cuadro explicativo de como falleció. Hacia el otro lado se encuentra una representación de como era la casa en aquella época y realmente me pareció muy bonita, pudimos ver réplicas de objetos que habÃan en su hogar, también de cuadros y espacios como una habitación, el consultorio en donde atendÃa a sus pacientes en su casa y, también una sala de estar. Me gustó ver objetos como un teléfono el cual es curioso porque la lÃnea era 001, una máquina de coser que pertenecÃa a su madre. Hay otras salas con fotografÃas y otras cosas alusivas al Doctor las cuales también me agradaron. Aunque todas las cosas son réplicas (a excepción del teléfono y la máquina de coser según nos dijeron), me gustó ver un récipe auténtico escrito por el Dr José Gregorio, cuya letra nadie pudo entender.
Obviously, we did not miss the opportunity to take many group photos and I'm very happy to have been able to take photos with my group and my soul brothers, which I loved because they are all people that I appreciate very much, they are special to me and I'm really going to miss them when I leave the country so I'm very happy to have created these memories with them. If there's something that I'm very happy about and grateful to God, it's having made very good friends with girls who also live in the church in addition to being catechists and auxiliaries, and who over time have become my sisters, especially my girls Luisana, MarÃa Gabriela, Delaya and MarÃa Laura, whom I love very much.
Obviamente, no perdimos la oportunidad de tomarnos muchas fotos grupales y yo estoy muy feliz de haber podido tomarme fotos con mi grupo y mis hermanos del alma lo cual me encantó ya que todos son gente que aprecio mucho, son especiales para mi y cuando me vaya del paÃs realmente los voy a extrañar asà que estoy muy contenta de haber creado estos recuerdos junto a ellos. Si hay algo de lo que estoy muy feliz y agradecida con Dios, es el haber hecho muy buena amistad con chicas que también hacen vida en la iglesia además de ser catequistas y auxiliares, y que con el tiempo se han convertido en mis hermanas, especialmente mis chicas Luisana, MarÃa Gabriela, Delaya y MarÃa Laura, las cuales quiero muchÃsimo.
The walk didn't end here because we all then went to a nice restaurant to eat some pancakes and smoothies, but when we arrived the power went out in the place and we could only eat but we still had a great time there too, and the best thing is that we couldn't have those smoothies this time, we'll be back next Saturday!
El paseo no terminó aquà ya que luego fuimos todos a un simpático restaurant a comernos unas tortas pancakes y smoothies pero, cuando llegamos se fue la luz en el local y solamente pudimos comer pero aún asà la pasamos genial allà también, y lo mejor es que como esta vez no pudimos tomarnos esos smoothies, ¡volveremos el sábado que viene!
Truly, this walk was extraordinary because it gave all of us the chance to share one more time before the confirmation ceremony in a few months. For me it has been an incredible experience which I will always remember, and I'm very happy to have been able to share this beautiful memory with all of you.
Realmente, este paseo fue extraordinario ya que nos dio chance a todos nosotros poder compartir una vez más antes del acto de confirmación dentro de unos meses, para mi ha sido una experiencia increÃble la cual siempre voy a recordar, y estoy muy feliz de haber podido compartir este hermoso recuerdo con ustedes.
