Our Little Christmas Tree with my DIY Christmas Tag Decorations
My husband bought our kids' little Christmas tree from school. The earnings from the Christmas tree are needed to fund the children's school activities. Selling Christmas trees is just one of their funding projects; they also sell Christmas cookies and chocolates.
Last week it was fun to see our kids helping their father decorate our Christmas tree. Too bad, I wasn't able to take photos during the installation because I was busy cooking Filipino pork adobo. My husband is requesting it and so are the kids.
Elise was saying, "Wow!" all the time. Alexandre wanted to decorate the tree with the Christmas balls. They were all delighted to see the Christmas lights.
We have a minimalist Christmas tree. We don't buy so many Christmas ornaments. But I am thinking of adding some photo trinkets of us using the Pooli pocket printer.
Unlike in the Philippines, we start to decorate in September. Whereas here in France, especially for us, we decorate in early December.
And oh, we need to wrap the gifts as we need to celebrate Christmas in Paris with my husband's relatives.
Printing Photos from the Pooli Pocket Printer
I have many baby photos of them while wearing Christmas pajamas so I printed all of them.
I printed other photos to use for my journal. There are several thermal printers you can see in different online shops.
It is really cute to print their baby photos.
Stick the thermally printed photos on 200 gsm thick paper or card
Since the thermal printer is not colored, I colored it using the color pens I have. This is sticker paper so I stuck all the photos in the tag card.
I colored the cards using acrylic pens, you can also use stabilo pens if you want.
Everything is so cute with all these black and white thermal printed photos.

Cut the thick paper with the shape of your choice
You can use different shapes for your Christmas Card/Tag. For the whole, you can use a punch hole machine. But I don't have that one, I just used a needle to create a hole in the middle of the card.
Add color to your printed photo
Somehow, the photo popped up when I colored the pajamas in red.
I used Morandi Acrylic Painter to color the tags.
I used a thick card, I use the card for sketching and painting. This is about 200 gsm. It is good enough to create a Christmas card, tags, and little paintings.
Add more decorations or color your tags
Coloring the card in Pink.
Coloring the card in Blue.
I lost the sequence of the photos but this is so easy to do.
Punch a hole in the tag/card
Yes, they're ready. Create a hole in the middle and put some thread. They're ready to hang in the Christmas tree.
This is from my Mother-in-Law's sewing kit so I used a thick thread for the tag. You can buy a golden or silver thread if you like. I don't want to spend money so I will use whatever I see.
My MIL has this big needle so it's great to punch a hole.
I used a pencil to create a marker on where to punch a hole using a needle.
This is how I do it.
All four cards are ready for the thread.
Insert the thread on the hole
Insert the thread on the hole.
Tie the thread, as you see in the photo, three fingers are okay. It is enough to hang it on the Christmas tree.
Finish Project
Yay! Looks so cute.
Let's Hang it on the Christmas Tree
Our Christmas tree is the same height as me. Hahaha! So it won't handle heavy Christmas decorations. Minimal is okay.
It's so cute. Literally. Haha!
My Kids are very happy with their Christmas Tree
My husband put a fire on the chimney.
They were so excited. We spent a few hours enjoying the heat.
Haha, just took photos in this area. I don't want you to see the real mess of the house.
Oh well, I hope you enjoyed our little Christmas tree and its simple and minimalist Christmas decorations.
That's just too cute, and those photos made that Christmas Tree extra special ✨✨💓
Oo, super aliw mga kids to look at their baby photos. hehehe.
Vaya ahora necesito esta impresora en mi vida, está genial Cómo pintaste o resaltaste con color rojo, y el diseño para colocarlas está súper buena esta idea.
