A Peaceful Morning Painting reminds me of Chocolate Hills in Bohol, Philippines

Hi, ASEAN Hive community! I hope you have a good weekend. Here's an article on a painting I did last week.

One day morning, I woke up uneasy so I decided to prepare my gouache paint, brushes, and sketchbook. I really wanted to practice painting without stress. It was a miracle I didn't open my laptop to check out my social media. I was off the grid for a few hours.

As I opened my sketchbook, I looked at my surroundings inside the bedroom. My baby was asleep. My son already went to school, and my husband went to his appointment.

I didn't want to complicate my painting so I was using the available colors, no need to mix for another color.

I started with the color sky blue to paint the sky, the white clouds, and the several ranges of hills that reminded me of Chocolate Hills.

As I am living in France, it's currently cold. I was able to complete the upper area of the sketchbook with a little lake and some birds. Don't forget the sunny yellow.

Going down to the sketchbook, I wanted some flower fields. I wanted to use the purple paint so I made a field of lavender flowers.

To finish off the little painting, here are some red flowers you can easily pick up.

After I finished the painting, all I could say was that it was A Peaceful Morning. Looking at my painting makes me happy. I love the vibrance of the final image.

It is something that I can enjoy looking at in the bed and appreciating the good weather from a small sketchbook. Even though it is so cold in here, the painting brightens up my day.

I don't have step-by-step photos of how I made this painting. My phone was charging the moment I did this. I don't need to stress myself, I just want to relax my mind and my eyes with different colors. It was peaceful when I did this painting. Overall, a relaxing activity without checking my phone and my laptop.

Instead of writing a rant about the cold weather here in France, I diverted myself into painting. And trust me, it really changed my perspective. Because of this, I have a story to tell behind the painting about my thoughts and feelings.
