Flavour the Moment - A Photo Journey of Fine Dining 👩🏻🍳🥂 | 米其林美食摄影之旅
"Flavour the Moment" is the slogan printed on the menu of La Source. It accurately describes the fine dining experience provided by this gourmet restaurant.
Today let me take you on this culinary adventure through my photos. It is my entry to Deranged Photography Contest themed Food. He hosted these contests on Liketu, with a new theme each week. Check them out if you would like to join the fun! I missed the last one themed Landscape, and I have to enter this one as a foodie. :)
Sorry for quoting you again, Wes, but it's so well said and I can definitely relate to that:
I love food. I love food a lot. One of my favorite things about traveling is trying out new food from all over the world. I love the different ways that the different cultures mix different tastes together to create something delicious.
I usually post food photos from my travels, but it's more about family gathering this time, as we went to this restaurant to celebrate an important anniversary. La Source is not super famous, but it's rated as one of the top 40 restaurants in Belgium. It has two Michelin stars and a Gault&Millau score of 17 out of 20. With its diverse culinary influences mixed in perfect harmony, the haute cuisine has offered us an unforgettable experience. A wide variety of regional ingredients, such as the white asparagus in my first photo, were also available. I thoroughly enjoyed the innovative artistic creations that appealed to all of my senses.
Let's flavour the moment. Indulge in the sensation:
The last two photos below might be off-topic, but I just loved watching these chefs having so much fun in the kitchen creating food art. They are lovely moments that I want to share with you as well. 😃

This is amazing. I bet it was such a cool experience. I want to go to a place like this one day.
It was indeed an amazing experience. I went there before the pandemic though. How are the covid restrictions now in your place?
Oh My Such Glorious Plating, The Food Here Looks Exquisite And It Has Always Been A Dream Of Mine To Visit A Restaurant With A Michelin Star, Also Please Do Mention The Names Of The Dishes Too It Could Come In Handy To People Like Me 🙈
Have A Great Day ✨
Here's a photo I took of the menu (only in Dutch), hope it helps. :)
What interesting dishes!
Full of innovations.🙂
Exquisite 😍
Long time no see! :D
Haha yes. See you soon on the next PhotoGames :D
Very nice pictures 📸🎉🎉🎉
Thanks!
The food here looks delicious.
Yes, it was really delicious! :)
Looks delicious. Now you understand how hard it is to take shots of food in restaurants. Some Michelin restaurants don't allow tripods so it is all handheld, and to my unluck, I don't have a full frame which is even more stressful due to the light lack. I see you battled with ISO here as well. Not to mention the light condition. A lot of warm yellow probably :) Good job anyway
Exactly. This was 3 years ago, and I had to work fast in a very dark room with warm lighting... only had a handheld prime lens mainly brought for portraits. Now you mentioned the ISO battle, I realized I forgot to talk about the hard shooting situation in my post, but only focused on the divine food itself.😅
I love the feel and presentation of the dish, bravo great photography! love the place.
Thanks! Lovely place and presentation indeed. =)
